  1. Review titled Impressive consultation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Barry white - Posted on 14 March 2025

This morning I saw a clinical lead nurse for Urology. At first I was disappointed she wasn’t a Dr. and thought the appointment was a ticking the box exercise, however I couldn’t be more impressed with the knowledge and care given by this very good and caring nurse, a Dr. couldn’t have done more. Five star treatment.

  3. Review titled Day Surgery Unit - Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pauline Bird - Posted on 11 January 2025

I attended RHH for Day Case Surgery in January 2025. From the moment I checked in to the department I felt put at ease and valued. All the staff were excellent. They were friendly, polite, professional and put me at ease for my procedure. The care I received after my procedure was second to none and I cannot praise the staff who supported me enough. I felt I needed to commend the staff and the department as there is so much negativity around NHS services at the moment - this department and the staff working within it should be applauded for their work. Thank you!

  4. Review titled Such an efficient Accident and Emergency Department.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Christine Grasso - Posted on 29 January 2025

Yesterday, 28 th Jan I was taken poorly so my daughter brought me to Russell Hall A and E department. From the time of checking in and to leaving, the care, kindness and attention shown by all of the staff was incredible. Despite being so busy , they were so efficient and never lost there cool at some quite impatient patients. I am so grateful to all the medical staff and I say a big thank you to you all. The NHS at its best.

  5. Review titled The best A&E experience ever!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Vicky - Posted on 31 January 2025

Having been previously and more or less ignored in children’s ED department, today was a totally different matter. The process was so smooth, the triage sent us to the right place (xray) the staff were friendly. After X- we went back to ED and the doctor was waiting for us. He checked the x-ray and we were lucky enough to be able to leave. Fantastic, service, smooth and quite frankly amazing!!

Firstly, the Ambulance crew who brought me in today were absolutely fantastic. They were so kind and caring and helped me a lot when I could hardly walk & in a lot of pain! The lovely Doctor in A&E was so kind and reassuring. I am forever grateful for the care I had. We are so lucky to have people like you looking after us and I’d like to say thank you, thank you, thank you!

  7. Review titled Double booked for a scheduled appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2025

I feel that to be double booked for a scheduled appointment with a Consultant is poor practice. I was sat waiting with no explanation and was forced to ask why I was not being seen. I have acute anxiety especially in a clinical setting and was further upset to be told nonchalantly by the nurse that my appointment had been double booked as if that were normal practice!!! I walked out. I had the manners to turn up for my appointment early and expect some regard to be shown to me.

  8. Review titled Terrible care

by Azra - Posted on 03 November 2024

The care at Urgent Treatment Centre is very below standard. My brother who has underlying conditions was told to go to the hospital if he deteriorated by his GP. He was constantly vomiting, couldn't swallow or talk. We were told by a dr on duty that he needs to go back home and eat and drink. We were told there was no specialist care here. So when pushed for a referral the dr was like we will see if they accept you. He wasnt treated with dignity or respect. We were then told to get out the room as the dr had other patients to treat. Awful behaviour zero empathy no understanding at all. If you are ill dont bother going to this hospital. You will be told just to go home and suck it up

I visited urgent care yesterday (Saturday 30th November) due to pain in my lower back due to a fall from being dizzy in Thursday night, I filled out the form they said i needed to stay in urgent care to be seen by the doctor I was seen by doctor in urgent care at 4pm and with what I explained he wasn’t happy that I was made to wait in urgent care so he sent me to a and e where I was seen and had triage then was sent for a X-ray which was a bit of a wait as I arrived to urgent care just after 1pm After I had my xray the results came back clear which was good I was told to take it easy and take painkillers if I get any pain I just wasn’t expecting to come out at 8pm after being there since just after 1pm the staff in X-ray were lovely taking care of me during my X-ray explaining what they was going to do for the X-ray but I just wasn’t happy that I didn’t get sent straight to a and e in the first place I’m just shocked that I was told that I needed to stay in urgent care for lower back pain 😢 I understand that they were very busy as I know what it’s like especially being a volunteer at the hospital 2 days a week Kind regards Chloe
