    I really wanted to write a review of how amazing the treatment was that I received. I had serious concerns about a herniated disc in my neck and weakness in my left arm. In Salford I was referred to a neurologist and then kept over night to see a spinal specialist the following morning. I had been visiting my doctors and various other hospitals to which I was told I only had a stiff neck until I pushed for an mri scan which proved it was something potentially serious. I want to thank Salford Royal for their incredible care who were attentive, took on my concerns and thoroughly listened to me. h5 ward was also absolutely lovely with very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely to also to see the beautiful bond the nurses and health care workers had with patients who were on the ward with me. After I was discharged I was given a full report of what the specialists opinions were on my spine and told me to come back if I had any more issues. I have never received such great care and treatment and can’t speak highly enough of Salford Royal. Thank you for listening to what issues I had with my neck and for taking it seriously and providing me with best treatment and care.

    Consultation 1 hour late! No apology. Outpatients information board completely void of information. TV covered paper notices, thus made unreadable. Had I arrived 1 hour late my guess is I would not have been treated. I have not included website addresses.

    I would like to thank the staff of the A & E department for their professional care when I took myself there due to excruciating gastric pains. I was reluctant to go there initially as I had thought that I would be waiting for at least 7 hours to be seen. I did have to wait, but the triage nurse saw me relatively quickly and then another nurse saw me to take my blood not long after. I was finally seen about 2 - 3 hours later, and I understand this because the blood results needed time to come back. Ok, so there were patients on chairs and in beds lying on the corridor, it was crowded. But staff there were rushing round tending to people and offering them tea / coffee / water plus reassuring them. I was discharged after 7 hours with staff coming to see me from time to time when I was on my drips. I think people should not blame staff but the tax cuts and underfunding that makes the system broken.
