  1. Review titled Fundamentally flawed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 October 2022

Nurse's, doctor's, and hospital staff are generally decent and competent. However, the entire system is broken. I have been passed from pillar to post, lied to, deceived, and ignored. I was told repeatedly that my blood test had to be booked online despite blood tests apparently being walk-in only. Dermatology "don't answer the phone" (a direct quote from a member of reception staff), so you leave a message that they aim to return "within 2 days". In the past month and a half I have left the same message 4 times and still have not been contacted. The only way I have ever been able to speak directly to someone in dermatology is to go to the hospital and use an internal phone. This entire department is, through indifference and incompetence, ruining my life. Absolutely shameful.

  2. Review titled Cherry tree ward

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 August 2022

I've been identified as red flagged patient at A&E and I ve been sent to cherry tree wing. Since morning I'm sitting here for nearly 6. 5 hours. I just been told I need a ct scan here and still waiting for someone to come and take me for scan. Its quite disappointing for the service which Ive received here at this hospital.

  3. Review titled Lovely caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katey - Posted on 17 August 2022

I unfortunately had a miscarriage recently and found this out through a scan in the early pregnancy unit. All of the staff that dealt with me were caring, empathetic and just lovely. It was a horrible experience for me and my partner but having caring nice nieces looking after us made a real difference and helped us deal with out grief. Thank you.

  4. Review titled X ray department not all staff deaf aware

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 August 2022

X ray receptionists very helpful and understanding. I have 2 hearing aids. They lowered their masks and spoke clearly. They said they would listen for my appointment call in case I missed it. Which they did. I went in for my X-ray the man was asking questions and shouting but I said I have hearing problems and was worse with accents. I asked him twice if he could lower his mask but he ignored the request I eventually found he just needed my basic details. I felt very vulnerable and upset As I left I was feeling tearful and explained to one of the receptionists. She was very supportive and said it should not have happened She said I could make a complaint to PALS but was too upset at the time. She said to inform them before my appointment and I can get assistance. But have not had this problem in ENT Audiology or Rhuematology. As I said earlier I would like to compliment the 2 very supportive excellent receptionist Maybe your staff need deaf awareness training Mixed review
