    Went today to have a us trans- Thoracic Echocarfiogram. Honestly from reception to the person that did the test. I have never seen people so unfriendly and some how rude. I have done the test before and the staff was very nice and made me feel comfortable. But this people today was unreal. There faces look like they didn't want to be there, therefore made me feel like I really didn't want to be there either!. When I done a comment about how one part of my neck was painful the person doing the test replied " I am not a Doctor you have to say that to your doctor" like if I wanted her to sort it out! I contained myself as I don't like to be rude but really? I am very aware she wasn't a Dr. It was a comment. I am so so dessapointed at some staff at Southmead hospital. Is unreal! How stack up and rude they can be at times. Absolutely unacceptable in an enviroment that should look after people. Anyway, I just wanted to drained out my frustration. Very bad experience. I really don't want ro return to that.

    I arrived For my 9.00 am appointment and had a very warm welcome at reception. The consultant was the best I have ever experienced. Knowledgeable, excellent manner. Congratulations to all involved from the chaperone to the consultant. I left the hospital feeling heard, understood and reassured.

    On behalf of my Dad who was admitted to Southmead on 27.8.24 with bi-lateral blood clots on his lungs, I wanted to leave a review on his behalf to thank you to everyone involved with this care from the cleaners, catering, nurses and doctors. We couldn't fault the care and support given by the Team and would like to give a special thank you to a lady who I believe is a Trainee Nurse from Brazil who was so supportive to Dad and has such a genuine caring approach to patients and their families. Just want to say a huge thank you. Dad was really poorly when he was admitted but when discharged on 5.9.24 was so much better with the medical attention he received.

    I have had many surgeries over the years but my experience with this last one at Southmead Hospital Park View Theatres was amazing! I can not praise all staff enough from Pre Op assessment staff, Surgeons Secretary , OT, Theatre Staff , Aneathetists etc. All involved treated me with kindness, respect and humility at a time when one feels anxious and vulnerable. Thank you all for looking after me so well .

    Went to cardiology for pacemaker,all the staff were wonderful,I was very anxious but was made to feel calm by everyone Nurses were professional but also kind and calming as were every one else from the porters to the Doctor and the surgeon who did the procedure. Thank you so very much.

    I found Southmead an amazing hospital huge like an airport with golf buggies to ferry me around with my fracture, I was seen early after arriving early and they were kind, thorough, professional and attentive in every department

    Unfortunately I contracted Covid last week & as the days wore on I became extremely poorly. I was never this poorly when I caught covid in 2022. 2days ago I experienced extreme breathlessness which my daughter called an ambulance for yesterday afternoon which arrived promptly, they knew I needed extra care & oxygen & rushed me to Southmead Hospital. I was seen to in A&E promptly even though they were busy. I was then sent to the observation unit where I was mointered closely & given regular medication. I was hoping to be discharged last night but unfortunately was to poorly so got admitted & then transferred to the acute medical unit last night. The care again was amazing from the staff. There was fear I had a blood clot so had to receive a CT scan again CT scan staff were amazing & kept me informed what was happening. Luckily they found no blood clot just the effects of covid making me breathlessness. Today I was discharged so only needed a 1 night stay at the hospital. Even though I'm still poorly with covid, without all the staff from South Western ambulance service & Southmead hospital staff taking care of me & giving me the correct prompt treatment I might of still be in hospital this evening. Again thank you for giving me the care I needed & getting me back home quickly to finish recovering properly in my own home. Your all amazing.

    I cannot fault the care and pleasant attitude of the medical staff I received on both my visits.However, one thing that does need sorting out is the general phone line that deals with all queries, I rang twice as I needed to speak to urology and was told to leave a message, unfortunately no one rang back.but as I said the medical staff are lovely.

    My recent visit to the A&E department in Southmead Hospital upon having a seizure was a second to none, first class experience and I just want to say thank you to everyone involved. From the paramedics, nurses, doctors, porters to volunteers - all provided a sensational standard of care that just blew me away. What an amazing bunch of people that work there, NHS bosses - get in gear and pay these people what they deserve! In all honesty, all the experiences I've had with Southmead Hospital have been overwhelmingly positive. Once again, my sincerest and heartfelt thank you to all whom I interacted with, it will never be forgotten!
