    My husband was attended by the crew from Ambulance 7725 at our home. The were immediately reassuring, calm and highly professional. They stayed with us for a couple of hours looking after my husband whilst he was held in the A&E Long Corridor Cohort 1, and could not have been nicer people to have by your side when you were worried and stressed. The Corridor itself was well staffed by lovely Nurses and actually relatively quiet and comfortable. My Husband was later moved into an observation cubicle for a few hours whilst he was monitored and underwent several tests. All the Nursing staff were clearly rushed off their feet but were unfailingly cheerful and professional, even when dealing with a very drunk patient. The two Doctors who saw my husband were obviously busy but patiently spent a considerable amount of time checking my husband and were hugely professional. We genuinely couldn't have been better looked after by the wonderfully caring and highly motivated A&E team at Southmead Hospital and would like to express our sincere and grateful thanks.

    Hello I would like to submit my sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses for my treatment of pneumonia. From the acute medical unit and ward 31A to 32A, my treatment and care was outstanding. Everyone was calm, courteous and very professional. Thank you so much for looking after me. Best regards Robert Emberton

    In 2024, I was referred to an Orthopaedics Surgeon by my Surgery for consideration of a shoulder problem. The Surgeon advised a Replacement joint and from that point onwards, I attended Southmead for Pre-Med and Preparation and the actual surgery. On each occasion I have to congratulate the staff from Reception through to Anaesthetist, Pharmacy, preparation and nursing and theatre staff for their care, consideration and kindness at all times. During my early appointments through to the day of surgery and afterwards, there appears to be a thread running through the whole hospital of efficiency and understanding coupled with an air of kindness. That kindness is so gratifying and supportive when one is submitting to serious surgery. I thank all the staff and volunteers for their support at all times during this episode. Please keep it up, it is a credit to you all from cleaner through to surgeons. Thank you.

    I was admitted for surgery for stage 3 skin cancer. From pre-op to the surgery, care in the ward and follow up checks. I was greatly impressed by the care taken and the expertise of all involved. The most impressive was the obvious dedication to their work and the manner in which it was carried out. Top marks all round

    The reception was very polite. The Physiotherapist who dealt with me and my 3 month old today was extremely rude!!! She was an older person, the younger person who dealt with us previously was lovely and kind but this person was extremely rude! Please sort out how your staff communicate with patients. Very unprofessional behaviour!

    Went today to have a us trans- Thoracic Echocarfiogram. Honestly from reception to the person that did the test. I have never seen people so unfriendly and some how rude. I have done the test before and the staff was very nice and made me feel comfortable. But this people today was unreal. There faces look like they didn't want to be there, therefore made me feel like I really didn't want to be there either!. When I done a comment about how one part of my neck was painful the person doing the test replied " I am not a Doctor you have to say that to your doctor" like if I wanted her to sort it out! I contained myself as I don't like to be rude but really? I am very aware she wasn't a Dr. It was a comment. I am so so dessapointed at some staff at Southmead hospital. Is unreal! How stack up and rude they can be at times. Absolutely unacceptable in an enviroment that should look after people. Anyway, I just wanted to drained out my frustration. Very bad experience. I really don't want ro return to that.

    I arrived For my 9.00 am appointment and had a very warm welcome at reception. The consultant was the best I have ever experienced. Knowledgeable, excellent manner. Congratulations to all involved from the chaperone to the consultant. I left the hospital feeling heard, understood and reassured.

    On behalf of my Dad who was admitted to Southmead on 27.8.24 with bi-lateral blood clots on his lungs, I wanted to leave a review on his behalf to thank you to everyone involved with this care from the cleaners, catering, nurses and doctors. We couldn't fault the care and support given by the Team and would like to give a special thank you to a lady who I believe is a Trainee Nurse from Brazil who was so supportive to Dad and has such a genuine caring approach to patients and their families. Just want to say a huge thank you. Dad was really poorly when he was admitted but when discharged on 5.9.24 was so much better with the medical attention he received.

    I have had many surgeries over the years but my experience with this last one at Southmead Hospital Park View Theatres was amazing! I can not praise all staff enough from Pre Op assessment staff, Surgeons Secretary , OT, Theatre Staff , Aneathetists etc. All involved treated me with kindness, respect and humility at a time when one feels anxious and vulnerable. Thank you all for looking after me so well .
