  2. Review titled Great service, all on time

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by M VERSTAGE (for Harry Suddaby) - Posted on 12 January 2023

Saw a consultant with my grandson, Harry Suddaby. The consultant was very thorough and explained everything clearly. There was no rush. We then needed a blood test but at 12.45 the childrens' blood test centre closed for lunch and we would have had to wait another hour. We live in Farnham Surrey and this was going to prove very difficult as we had other appointments later. A very kind man at reception took us to the adult blood test centre and managed to fit us in, so good. All the staff we spoke to were so pleasant and helpful even though we know that they are under a lot of pressure. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Janice Baker - Posted on 29 December 2022

I was sent to St George’s from another hospital after an accident. Despite it being a very busy time of year, the staff were incredibly caring and friendly. I was seen by a lovely lady in the Maxillio facial department she was incredibly knowledgeable when she attended my wound and I felt at all times that I was in good hands. As a result a short time later despite having 16 stitches inside and out it has healed really nicely and I definitely won’t have a visible scar. The wound is on my face so from a confidence point of view this won’t be an issue. Personally I can’t thank the department enough and all the staff I saw on the way. Thank you!

  4. Review titled Came out alive

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was in the day surgery where the nurses who looked after me once I woke up were lovely. I can not say the same for a couple of the nurses who greeted me. Both had an awful attitude problem, possibly they don’t like their jobs. One of them seemed to think that 10:45am was ‘early’. Maybe they should be made aware that most people start work at 8am.

  5. Review titled Great treatment and care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2022

My prostatectomy operation was preceded by an MRI scan and a biopsy procedure. These were all carried out very promptly and with great skill. I particularly found the Clinical Nurse Specialists excellent. Firstly, they were available by email or telephone to discuss any concerns and this reassurance that someone was contactable was of huge value. They also understood the emotional and personal aspects of the procedures as well as the medical and technical ones and their care, compassion and supportiveness made a massive positive difference. My thanks to them.

  6. Review titled Incredible service at the Colposcopy unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dee Heffernan - Posted on 28 November 2022

I had the most amazing service at the Colposcopy Unit today at a 12pm appointment. My initials are d/n/e. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience, and so appreciate it. There are very special people working in the team, who are so amazing at what they do. Thank you so much!

  7. Review titled System not quite working

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan Barron - Posted on 26 November 2022

I attend the hospital was seen by a friendly receptionist and then seen by 2 nurses and a doctor who were all extremely nice and caring I carried out the instructions to go for an ultrasound at 2,00 pm but it was only 12.30 so was told to get some lunch then go for scan which I did there again extreme helpful and caring staff I went back to report that I had had my scan but the reception said I did not have to check in with her as the results would go through and the doctor would call me 2 1/2 hours later I asked the receptionist how much longer To be told my file has said they had called me no response so marked the file left Who would leave the hospital with a cannula in their arm which they had put in The porter and doctor had called me but I had made my own way to the ultrasound department which had confused them I donot want to take anything away from the care I was given but just a little bit more joined up thinking would have saved a lot of time on everyones behalf .

  8. Review titled Abysmal service, not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2022

Involved in rta, op planned day after rta cancelled, ditto day after, ditto day after. Told likely to be over 2 weeks. Serious injury. I have had to arrange a private alternative. Ward staff excellent. Surgery staff never around and disconnected with the problems.

  9. Review titled Amazing service from the Outpatients Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by KEC4109 - Posted on 11 September 2022

I could not be more impressed from the service I received from the NHS and St George's this afternoon. I suspected I might have shingles and, conscious you need to take medication within a short time line for it to be effective, called 111. Very professional paramedic got me an appointment at St George's outpatients department within an hour so I could get a prescription today and I did. Excellent time-lines all round, knowledgeable, kind and efficient staff, what's not to be impressed with. Ten out of ten for sure. Thanks NHS and St George's.

  10. Review titled Excellent experience at kids A&E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 September 2022

We were referred by our GP to attend the children's A&E at St George's. I was very impressed with the facilities, staff and quality of medical help we received. Children's A&E is separate from adults' one. (Adult's did look pretty busy). There were not a huge number of kids, super clean facilities. they were screening Moana on TV and generally the setting was calm and relaxing. We waited for about 15 mins to see the nurse to get checked up and a further hour to see the surgeon. In total, we spent 1.5 hours there. Very impressed by the organisation and quality of medical help.
