    I have attended the endoscopy on two occasions recently. I can’t thank and recommend the staff in the department enough. From the Receptionist, Nurses and through to the Endoscopist who carried out my Gastroscopy. With their friendly, professional and helpful attitude, they made the procedure a lot easier than I was expecting. Thank you to all of you.

    I arrived early and was seen within 5 minutes. My consultant was friendly and knowledgeable, offering information when I asked. The only negative to my visit was waiting for my medication at the pharmacy. I was there for nearly an hour.

    Dear Barbara Sorry for the delay in responding to your email, this has been due to an issue with the NHS website. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent attendance at Whiston hospital. We are pleased that you have had a positive experience in terms of waiting time and specific consultant. The team would like to forward your feedback to the consultant , but you haven't mentioned which Consultant that you visited. If you would like us to do this, please contact patientexperienceandedi@sthk.nhs.uk and let us know. In terms of of your pharmacy experience, we are sorry to hear that your wait did not meet expectations regarding the time that you waited for your medicine. We do endeavour to provide medications quickly however, for your safety, there are 5 different steps involved in dispensing every item of medication. There are approximately 400 prescriptions, many with multiple items contained, that are dispensed at each of our hospital sites every day for in-patients and out patients, sometimes this demand does result in a wait for medicines.     For the last few months I have been taking my 94 year old nan after treatment the staff are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond today my nan was unwell whilst there with palpitations and the staff rushed to her aid and made her their priority, also the doctor that saw her made her feel like a queen and really valued I cannot express how impressed I am with everyone in this department it’s like the hospital have employed all the nice people from the world in this one place.

    I recently attended the Ophthalmology clinic for investigation of Macular Degeneration. My appointment was for 9.00 am, and I left at 9.55 am. In this time I received a basic eye test, had drops put in my eyes, had an eye scan, a meeting with the Consultant, a further eye scan, a further meeting with the Consultant, and was then given a positive diagnosis. Excellent service, and the NHS at its best.

    I attended Sanderson suite and I was very impressed with the pristine cleanliness and the professional, efficiency of all the staff. I felt like I was in a private hospital. This was the first time I have attended St Helens hospital and I was very impressed with the quality of medical care I received. Thank you so much NHS.

    Yesterday I was admitted as an outpatient for cataract surgery after waiting only 8 weeks. From start to finish I could not have been treated better. Staff friendly and reassuring, operation fascinating. Today I removed the eyepatch and the resulting vision is fantastic. Thank you NHS.

    Had my MOHs procedure yesterday 7/12/23 and I cannot fault the service at all from this hospital, from start to finish the team were very professional whilst being attentive to patients, the staff are lovely , I felt very at ease , I would recommend this hospital,also a high standard of cleanliness I noticed, Thankyou to all staff that delt with my procedure 10/10 you should all be very proud of yourself & all with a smile ☺️ x

    We have visited the hospital several times over the past 4 months because I've had ENT appointments and an MRI scan. My wife and i are very impressed in every way with the standards here. The staff are warm and helpful. The hospital itself is very welcoming. We felt it was important that you know this. Many thanks.

    First time visiting St Helens Hospital for an appointment and the experience was amazing. All departments are clearly visible and colour-coded which makes it easier to find. Once where I needed to be there was an option to self-check-in which was easy to do. I didn't wait long before I was called in and the staff were very friendly and put my nerves at ease.
