Review titled Poor prescription system
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2024
I visited a Rosehill Clinic (staff and service were great there) and was prescribed a simple medication to the on-site pharmacy. At the pharmacy I was told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait and my prescription could not be transferred to my usual pharmacy. I went back to the clinic to see if they could re-prescribe and they said they can only use the on-site pharmacy, so I left the hospital without my prescription. An insane system that mounts huge pressure on the pharmacy. No idea why it can't be different but seems like a massive flaw in the system and very inefficient - feel sorry for both the staff and people waiting for hours in line.

Review titled Excellent Care & Caring Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bob - Posted on 13 October 2024
Accompanied my mother in law for an appt at fracture clinic. The attention she received from the medical staff in both the orthopaedic and x-Ray departments was first class. The consultant, nurses and orthopaedic technicians were friendly, gave the right amount of information without being condescending, and were just so pleasant yet professional in approach. A very positive experience all round.

Review titled Great staff
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by The staff were excellent - Posted on 12 August 2024
I visited the hospital for an operation, I stayed in the women’s health department for gynaecology. The nurses were all really kind and attentive. The team who took me down for my surgery were also really kind and made me feel at ease. The doctor who completed my surgery also came round the next day to check on me and discharge me, and run me through the operation. The process was stress free and made my first stay in a hospital less daunting.

Review titled Don‘t go with complex and time sensitive problems
Rated 1 star out of 5

After 4 hours still not even seen a nurse, told wait time is 9 hours. My condition required same day treatment otherwise risk of blindness. Suggested I go to St George’s if they are too busy and have no specialist on call. Staff did not care … no wonder NHS is spending billions on lawsuits. If I end up having permanent damage due to delayed treatment, I will take them to court.

Review titled Attention to detail
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Andy McCarthy - Posted on 07 May 2024
Two weeks ago I fell heavily and needed to be seen at the A&E department of another hospital. My pain had intensified since then and now my leg looked badly swollen and significantly bruised, much worse than before. Previously I had been more concerned with my chest than my leg so I wanted some advice. I saw the screening nurse and then I had a lengthy wait but that was so I could see the right person - a physiotherapist that was really helpful. Although he could have checked the report of my previous treatment, he chose to talk with me and then carry out a thorough diagnosis for himself before he reviewed the previous report. Some questions arose and it took further X-rays, and even then a CT Scan before the team behind the physiotherapist had a better understanding on what was happening to me. Now, I have a comprehensive plan on how I can become strong again. The reason I am completing a review is to recognise the perseverance and determination of the physiotherapist and the team he associated with — the consultant, an orthopaedic doctor and radiographers — who pulled together to ensure I had the fullest attention. I was on-site for 7 hours in the end, but that’s not so important if ultimately you get peace of mind. Thanks to you all.

I had to wait eleven days for a prescription to be dispensed when it should have taken a maximum of 3 working days.

Review titled Well done A+E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Carol - Posted on 14 April 2024
Took my Mum to a+e and from the start to end of her visit all of the staff were amazing. They showed great concern, understanding and empathy to the situation and explained everything that would be happening. They listened to all of our concerns and even though the department was extremely busy and the staff obviously under pressure they were all happy and so lovely to my Mum. I would like to say thank you so much to all concerned.

Review titled Slow and understaffed

by Toye - Posted on 26 March 2024
Waiting nearly 6 hours to see a doctor is unacceptable, especially when the child blacked out and couldn't breath. Not sure why I pay taxes, if I can't access the facilities in a reasonable timeframe. Disappointing is an understatement.
