I was on ward 44. As an American I have to say that your hospital and staff are what I believe the NHS is intended to be like. From the cleaners to the nurses to the doctors I had great care and understanding of my complex care and eventual surgery. I would especially like to thank the doctor who did my gall stones removal. I credit him with saving my life on the operating table. I had my surgery on the 15th of September. I felt well enough to go home that same evening.

Walking into my gynae appointment and seeing a male doctor, my face fell. Now I feel so stupid, he was sensitive, listened and performed the procedure with absolute professionalism. I really wish I could name him and the 2 nurses assisting because they were a brilliant bunch. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for easing my worries and treating me with such care and sensitivity

Just had 10 days radiotherapy treatment. Everyone from doctor, reception, volunteers and particularly radiotherapists made an unpleasant experience, stress free and as pleasant as it could be. Would absolutely recommend St James Hospital, Leeds, Radiotherapy Dept.to anyone needing the treatment. Well done all of you.

The Paul Sykes clinic have been nothing but pleasant and thoughtful to my husband that has been attending for the past 6 week for bcg treatment for bladder cancer. They have been kind and understanding because they could see how upset and frightened i was for my husband who is 82. All the staff have been wonderful. Thank you again from Mr and Mrs Crawley

Visited the emergency service twice over weekend and the staff in the same day emergency care unit are fantastic. They are kind and efficient keyworkers.
