  1. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had to attend A&E last night after catching my finger in a food blender. Yes, there was a lengthy wait but everyone from receptionists to nurses to radiographers in A&E and the urgent treatment centre was exceptionally friendly, kind and professional. I just want to say a big thank you.

staff just laughed and my son was so sick to the point he couldn’t even walk so they just took us out of the hospital with a wheelchair and obviously took the wheelchair back and said there’s nothing they can do

Had my first antenatal scan at St Mary’s - quick, tidy, on time, and most importantly very welcoming and empathetic. Will be returning here for the second scan. Many thanks to the staff for being amazing!

  4. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Bea - Posted on 19 March 2024

Visited the A&E yesterday with what I consider serious issues. There seems to be such waste of time at the initial stage of the process. In total, 5 NHS personnel spoke to me (one took blood samples) before I saw a doctor. That makes 6. Where is the efficiency in that? Appearing to move patients through the system and actually doing so is different. Lastly, when I was inquiring about a treatment that I was unfamiliar with, it was seen as an affront to the capabilities of the team. Yet, a grave error was made by not labelling a supposed iron transfusion treatment (IV) with my personal details. Who does that? How can a patient trust treatment plans when it is not taken seriously? Time will be saved and more patients catered for if the unnecessary process of speaking to multiple personnel is removed - just saying. All this delays much needed treatment.

  5. Review titled Great Service at Early Pregnancy Unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karina - Posted on 20 March 2024

I have had the best experience ever with the EPU at St Mary’s Hospital. The staff were extremely polite and the specialist nurse that have seen me, gave me all the reassurance and information I needed. They offered me another appointment in 2 weeks time, which in my case brings peace of mind (I had several miscarriages). The nurse was warm and extremely helpful. I am so grateful to the service I received.

  6. Review titled Awful!!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 February 2024

I m in the hospital for 5 days…I never see something like that in my whole life! Every day different doctor says to me different things. I was heavy bleeding and the doctor day after didn’t know that! The nurses some of them they said you have to show us your vomit some of them they said we don’t need to see . I’m vomiting like seven times with the medicine and fluid and I was asking to bring me a sandwich with cheese plain and after 45 min they said me we have tuna and we can’t do anything for you! They don’t care if you are pregnant, if you are in the hospital alone, if you need to eat! I hope something change quickly otherwise this is really bad for sick people. I’m thinking all the time for people with serious illness to have this treatment. The worst experience. Third world system.

  7. Review titled Children’s ENT Services

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Nina - Posted on 18 April 2024

Horrible! Go straight to private and don’t lose time there on the 6th Floor. The whole team does not genuinely care about any of the paediatric patients. The doctors seem to be kind and polite at first, but the whole system is so disorganised, that you’ll never get anything done, ever. We waited for over two years for my daughter’s surgery, nobody called us back. I used to call the admin office every week or so, to check if we’re moving down the list, to which they only answered: we don’t have any dates yet, sorry. On one occasion, a ENT doctor gave us the wrong equipment, so we couldn’t do the sleep study at home and hence wasted our appointment (thanks to the St Mary’s staff). Negligent, reckless behaviour that I wish no child should experience. Close down the department or get a grip of your job! Never been more disappointed with any central London hospital before.

  9. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

Repeated appointments with no clear point, such as “to avoid getting lost in the system” or with staff who had not had information from previous appointments. No effective treatment was given at any point and my belief that any will be given is now gone. Finally, I was booked into a phone appointment and took time off work for it, and it never arrived. I was then given a letter saying I had missed the appointment (claiming a call time 2 hours 2 minutes late) and that I was discharged from your care. I see no alternative but to seek private medical help. This has wasted my time, energy and money as well as NHS time and money.
