Review titled Great staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 November 2024
I visited A&E twice in 5 days. Whilst the wait in department was longer than I thought the staff were brilliant. Going back on 5th day I saw the doctor before my appointment time. Diagnosis was quick and treatment exceptional. Everyone in the department went above and beyond to help me.

Review titled Great Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Peter Ray - Posted on 18 November 2024
My elderly mother is a resident of a dementia care home. Unfortunately, she had a fall and was taken into St Richard's Hospital. I can't praise the staff enough for the way they dealt with my Mum as the dementia complicates things and one minute she can be fine and very angry the next. All the staff within the ambulatory ward and the staff within the X-Ray dept deserve special mention. Thank you for all the good work you do.

Husband went in for day surgery yesterday. The medical staff were very caring and made us feel at ease. This department is a credit to the hospital.

Review titled Cleaning

After visiting for a pre op assessment I had to go to pathology for a blood test. Apart from the lift being out of order the stairs were absolutely filthy the dirt in each corner was disgusting for a hospital.

Review titled Thank you!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie - Posted on 22 October 2024
Thank you to the wonderful mfu team for the way they looked after my mum who had a horrific head wound following a fall. The way they cared for her and made her feel comfortable and at ease, especially during the long suture process was outstanding. They are clearly a very caring team. I wish I could mention names here, but I know it’s not permitted – but hopefully they see this and know how very grateful the whole family is. Thank you!

Review titled Couldn’t have done more to help, really pleased with my care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Judith - Posted on 31 October 2024
After attending A&E but allowed home, I was admitted 2 days later with a hand injury and have just spent five days on Wittering Ward. Despite it being a very busy ward, and lots going on, every effort was made to help me feel as comfortable as possible as soon as possible, especially considering I was in agony. I’d like to thank all staff involved in my care for their dedication under sometimes dire circumstances with very ill patients as well, day and night staff, theatre staff (most were unaware I am an ex theatre sister) and my consultant and his team. I couldn’t have wished for any better so a massive thank you to all, you’re all doing a great job. Respect

Review titled Dedicated Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jane Shawyer - Posted on 28 August 2024
I visited the Accident & Emergency unit yesterday. The care I received was excellent. Yes, I had a long wait, but when you see the volume of patients, attending the Department, it is completely understandable! I was taken through to see the Dr, and it really opened my eyes to the scale of people that the hospital is dealing with on a daily basis. Not only in the waiting room, but in the treatment areas. Despite being in the early hours, at 2.30am, staff were still greeting patients with a smile ! Thank you for your dedication x Jane Shawyer

Review titled Impossible to phone back
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Adrian - Posted on 17 July 2024
When any department at this hospital calls you, they never leave a contact extension number. This makes it virtually impossible to get in touch with the person you need. I’m sick of being transferred from department to department when basic training would solve this problem. If you call someone and leave a message to call back, why not include the phone number??? Basic stuff but it causes hassle and headaches for everyone. Be better
