  1. Review titled Distressing time supported by excellent staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lynne Jones - Posted on 06 January 2024

My husband was admitted to A and E Resuscitation. He was seen immediately and treated with respect and his condition and subsequent treatment was explained carefully. On his transfer to Lavant the same can be applied. The care staff from catering assistants to the Consultant were the most caring and dedicated professionals. The nurses and health care assistants were in my opinion of the very highest calibre. Without their empathy and compassion to our family a distressing time would have been unbearable. Thankyou.

  2. Review titled Excellent Endoscopy Unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 January 2024

The service from beginning to end/recovery was second to none from this team. Every interaction I had was just great. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the treatment centres reception team. Nonetheless Endoscopy team did you proud today!

Dear Patient Thank you for your post. It was lovely to read that we looked after you so well in endoscopy and your experience was so good. However I am sorry to hear that you found treatment centre reception staff unhelpful as that is not what we would want any patient to experience. We hope you are making a good recovery from your procedure and thank you once again for your comments, positive and negative. Jo Yearsley, Patient Engagement and Liaison Manager

I was very nervous about my appointment and procedure, but the team looked after me really well and explained everything thoroughly. They were led by me and offered me alternatives if I was too nervous to go ahead. Their kind and caring attitudes made me feel much more at ease, thank you.

  4. Review titled Caring team on A&E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sue Howard - Posted on 16 January 2024

Last night at around 1am an ambulance brought my husband to A&E with a suspected stroke, possibly a TIA. The Staff were quick to see us and we were given outstanding professional care at a busy time for the hospital. Testing was comprehensive and monitoring was done regularly as his blood pressure was high. The Duty Dr. took so much care of us. He was gentle, kind and took time to explain what he was doing. He went out of his way to make sure we had water to drink and were okay for finding our way to the car park when eventually we left at around 7am on a deeply cold & icy morning. With gratitude and many thanks.

St. Richard’s Hosp! I cannot begin to say how well the doctor and nursing were at the unit. Explained everything really well. Doctor and nurses extremely helpful and calming. Nursing staff in recovery amazing. They answered any questions I had and were just so lovely and helpful. 100% in my eyes. Glad I live in the area to have had such great care! Carol

I saw a wonderful breast consultant who had a great manner, was reassuring and extremely thorough. All examinations and tests were carried out on the same day with very little waiting time and immediate results.

  7. Review titled Outstanding level of care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Richard h - Posted on 05 January 2024

My Dad arrived at accident and emergency via blue light ambulance,I was kept informed by the doctor of the seriousness of my father's condition and the likely outcome which didn't look good. The honesty and level of care was outstanding from all the attentive staff.when he was transferred from a and e to another part of the department the level of care and compassion continued this care continued right through the night into the early hours when sadly my father passed away with diginity.I can not praise all the staff highly enough for there tentative nature, compassion, hard work and above time which they gave in very demanding circumstances.Thank you.

  10. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by A.Hone - Posted on 12 December 2023

My 92 year old husband was taken by ambulance to St Richards after suffering a severe seizure due to historic brain injuries, and kept in for two nights. In spite of being a busy weekend, his care and subsequent treatments were superb. Thank you to wonderful paramedics and all those who looked after him. I am so grateful.
