    Service can’t be faulted. Kept fully informed of progress and both Dr and all staff were wonderful in Suite 3. Thank you so much for sorting me out. Liked the way they provided continuity where possible over two visits this week.

    I attended A&E with breathlessness and chest pains, and was seen in A&E / cardiology. The team who assessed my condition were really thorough, friendly and caring, as were the paramedics. A full series of tests was performed and ruled out immediate danger of heart problems. Not only was the treatment really professional but the doctor under took additional tests and has made recommendations to my GP. This has saved time and provided a good deal of reassurance, at least as far as my immediate symptoms are concerned. Thank you for going the extra mile and hopefully I won’t need to see you again anytime soon! Best wishes John

    I went for a procedure at the Urology department last week. What a great team they are. I was seen on time and the people I dealt with were kind reassuring and caring. I could not have wished for more.

    Having been referred by the doctor I receive but miss the call for an appointment the voice mail asks you to ring a number that doesn’t allow you to follow up the call as a new patient your not in the hospital system therefore a return call is meaningless and loss of ability to make a booking no means of getting back to the initial dept who is trying to contact you . So as the patient I’m left waiting for the missed contact to be picked up. A black hole as far as the patient is concerned. How does this benefit the hospital in achieving its two week contact time? The patient is left doing the leg work? Or risk missing the important appointment it’s not two week request for nothing. Please review this system as it is ineffective and inappropriate, a black hole for new patients and a waste of referral which could cost a life.

    I checked in on time for my appointment. I was left for an hour and 15 minutes in the waiting room. There was no communication as regards the delay to my appointment or when I might expect to be seen. I was then taken to an examination room where I was left alone for over 20 minutes. Again, there was no communication as regards the delay to my appointment. After 20 minutes, I had to leave as I was due back at work. As such, I did not receive the medical attention for which I had been referred to the Bobby Moore Unit.

    Awful induction experience. After coming back a day later than scheduled the process was started after nine hours of waiting in a room with no communication. Later that day my contractions were every 5 minutes, lasting a minute each time, I asked for pain relief (paracetamol, codeine- anything!) They said they would get some- After an hour of agony I asked again and was told I had to wait as doctors were doing handover. I didn’t get any pain relief until three hours after I initially asked- when they checked I was already in established labour. I then asked for an epidural and was told the anaesthesiologist was in theatre and I again had to wait. By the time the anaesthesiologist was available there was no time for an epidural and I had quite a traumatic birth with the amount of pain. The midwife who actually delivered my baby was amazing, but the bedside manner for 80% of the staff I encountered on delivery suite was appalling- everything was rushed- when somebody came to put me on the monitor I asked to go to the toilet before it started and I got an eye roll and attitude. My partner also heard the staff at the desk making fun of a question another patient had asked! In my view, there is a severe lack of patient care. I understand it is busy and low staff, but women come to this unit in the most vulnerable position of their lives and we should expect to not feel like an inconvenience.

  7. Review titled Fracture clinic appointment

    My daughter was given 09:35 appointment at the fracture clinic, took over 2 hours to get seen. It's now 12:15 and she's only had the cast removed, now waiting to see the doctor again. I don't understand how appointments can get behind only 1 hr after the clinic opens?

    Hi,was sent to a@e by GP to be checked for maybe lung clot,spent 8 hours there and the place very busy.Just like to say the treatment was excellent,blood tests,ecg xrays all done and ended up given the all clear.all the staff were good and the doctor was excellent.have been looked after by the NHS since 2007 and have always found things to be good.Thank You Mr Dawson

    I would like to thank the staff on Treehouse. From arriving at the day surgery ward with my 3 year old the care and the attention they gave him was amazing, not to mention the fabulous emotional support to me too. The theatre team were great with him and after a traumatic day for him he had to stay overnight and once again the staff on the ward were lovely. They worked so hard and seemed so busy but they always had a smile. Thank you!
