  3. Review titled Terrible dentist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Draculalaura - Posted on 19 July 2024

My dentist was very rude telling me what to do and basically being overall offensive telling me what to do in my day-to-day life I he made me feel very uncomfortable i’m being rude about my mouth. He said I’ve got a small mouth and that was very offensive.

  4. Review titled Fantastic patient care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Fiona May - Posted on 09 August 2024

Went to the Minor Injury Department after injuring my knee. Was seen very quickly and taken for an X-ray straight away. Very impressed with the friendly and quick service I received in the Minor Injury department and the X-ray department. Given great explanation verbally and on information sheet of condition and treatment for ongoing care.

  5. Review titled Automatic doors to xray building 1

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 May 2024

I'm a wheelchair user and I went for a bone density scan yesterday and was pleased to see automatic doors had been installed on the double entrance doors to xray department building 1. I previously had a bone density scan there about 3 years ago and had great difficulty getting in on my mobility scooter as I didn't have a carer with me. Very pleased with the improvement

  6. Review titled Phlebotomy

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Outpatient - Posted on 22 March 2024

On the plus side my waiting time was short (less than 15 minutes) the car parking charge was reasonable and the volunteer who directed me when I couldn’t find the department I needed was friendly and helpful. However the signage in the hospital complex is very poor. I was not the only anxious patient in search of a department. I was addressed by the phlebotomist by my first name only. She did not introduce herself, ask me about any allergies or explain the procedure. The department was not busy. Quite disappointing.

  7. Review titled So much kindness and help

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Jessica M - Posted on 14 March 2024

I fell down 2 stairs at home, went to Stratford Minor Injuries, saw Dr, X-ray, dr, X-ray, plastered, X-ray and back to Doctor, plus 2 pharmacy visits. Nastily fractured ankle. All members of staff were kind, informative (especially the lovely volunteer, who kept everything moving and everyone laughing), answered every question and explained things clearly. I think we were there for just over 6 hours. However busy and understaffed they were, it felt as if nothing was too much trouble and they had as much time for you as you needed. Fantastic experience on a very painful, annoying day. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Above and beyond

Rated 5 stars out of 5

We went to the Loxley Unit (Adult Community Mental Health Services) in desperation when my husband appeared to develop psychotic symptoms while we were on a family visit to Stratford Upon Avon with our two teenage children. Although the unit is unable to offer walk-in services of this kind, members of staff took the time and care to come to the lobby and assess the situation. They identified that his problem was probably physical in origin and helped us get him to A&E in Warwick as quickly as possible - quite probably saving his life, or at least a stay in an ICU. Their help and care was above and beyond their remit and we will be forever grateful.

  9. Review titled Disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Donna Mills - Posted on 20 December 2023

I was referred to pain management clinic for my shoulder pain, but unfortunately, I did not receive any treatment or assistance during my appointment. Instead, I was given some leaflets on improving sleep quality. Despite informing them about my previous shoulder surgery, I was advised that stretching beyond my pain would not cause any harm. Since I was not shown any exercises to do, I searched online and tried some on my own. However, this has resulted in even more pain than before my visit to pain management clinic. Now, I am left with no choice but to find a private consultant who can provide a diagnosis , which will be quite costly. Stratford hospital have been contacted and they are aware of my concerns but nothing is being done. This was my first experience at Stratford Hospital, and it has discouraged me from returning back there in the future. Typically, pain management is considered a last resort after consulting with a GP. Unfortunately, due to my allergy to pain medication, I am currently enduring significant discomfort.

  10. Review titled Feel completely let down and disappointed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Donna Mills - Posted on 19 December 2023

I was referred to a pain management clinic for my shoulder pain, but unfortunately, I did not receive any treatment or assistance during my appointment. Instead, I was given some leaflets on improving sleep quality. Despite informing them about my previous shoulder surgery, I was advised that stretching beyond my pain would not cause me any harm. Since I was not shown any specific exercises to do at home, I searched online and tried some on my own. However, this has resulted in even more pain than before my visit to the pain management clinic. Now, I am left with no choice but to find a private consultant who can provide a proper diagnosis, which will be quite costly. I immediately contacted the hospital to express my disappointment, and they are aware that I am seeking a second opinion due to my ongoing suffering. This was my first experience at Stratford Hospital, and it has discouraged me from returning there in the future. Typically, pain management is considered a last resort after consulting with a GP. Unfortunately, due to my allergy to pain medication, I am currently enduring significant discomfort. I was expecting more to be done or to be offered some treatment or shown some exercises to do. Upon reviewing the letter sent by pain management to my doctor, which stated that I had no expectations from my visit, I promptly reached out to Stratford hospital to request an amendment to the letter. This is because, during my appointment, I explicitly expressed that pain management was my last hope and I was hopeful that they would be able to alleviate my pain or provide some form of treatment. Therefore, it is inaccurate to state in the letter to my doctor that I had no expectations. I am still awaiting a response from the hospital and an amendment to their letter.
