  3. Review titled Surgical Admissions

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Marie - Posted on 04 December 2023

I came in for surgery on the 28th of November at 1:30pm. I would like to say I was so content with the care I received from several hospital workers. Unfortunately I cannot remember their names (I apologise for this) First of all - A lovely person that took me down to theatre, held my hand and was there for me whilst feeling very anxious, before and during my surgery…She made me feel much much more relaxed. The second person who was there for me when I came round after my surgery - Very caring, understanding and reassuring. Also the two people that worked in the surgical admissions department - They were very patient with me whilst I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I was cared for until a bed became available for my overnight stay. (I must add, they were late finishing their shift) due to a delay in finding a bed, but their care for me remained the same. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making me feel as comfortable, and as calm as possible.

  4. Review titled Staff go over and beyond!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Steven Awford - Posted on 13 November 2023

Our daughter had to visit the Children’s Day Surgical Unit today. From walking in all the nurses and staff went over and beyond to make sure she was kept comfortable and entertained while waiting for her surgery. The surgeon and anaesthetist were brilliant with her and really put her mind at ease. All staff ensured me and my wife were comfortable and well informed. After surgery she was kept comfortable and staff continued to offer an outstanding service right up until we left the ward and beyond. We left our daughter’s book behind and we were promptly contacted before we left the building to collect it. Great staff, great service!!

All the Surgical admissions team unit 2 staff are incredible and deserve a massive thank you for the way they have engaged with me from the minute I walked onto the ward this morning. They have been incredibly professional, empathetic and caring and each and everyone of them are a credit to your trust and it’s values.

  6. Review titled Very professional and friendly!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Graham - Posted on 27 October 2023

I visited the Accident and Emergency due to concerns of a heart attack and Angina symptoms. Needless to say when I arrived I was agitated and very worried. Right from reception to Triage to same day emergency care I was taken care of by very professional and friendly staff. At no point did I feel neglected and my worries were dispelled once my bloods were analysed. Turns out weirdly my symptoms mimicked Angina and likely are caused by a virus which fits as my wife and I have been unwell for a couple of weeks now. After seeing so much bad press I was reassured by the cleanliness and ventilation and amazing staff. They really are heroes make no mistake! Please pay them more and treat them with the same respect they give to us patients. Top marks to all of my heroes!

  9. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Fletcher - Posted on 21 September 2023

Skin lesion removal for biopsy. Professional approach from Doctor/surgeon excellent support nurses ( or whatever they are called nowadays!). Relaxed , informative to my possibly off beat questions. Admin overall was good including a well staffed coffee bar. Directions for one not fully cognisant of site possibly confusing...need to review signage directions? Made Dermatology reception 3 minutes late having turned into hospital 20 minutes early. Suggest should arrive 40 minutes before hand to allow time for new log in machines. Overall operation score 10/10 for all 3 people. Sincere thanks.

  10. Review titled Excellent Support

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 August 2023

Many thanks to the team who stayed behind to support my mother on 4th August following confusion over patient transport. The three members of staff cared for my mother throughout an extremely long waiting time and worked with the equally supportive private ambulance team to ensure that my mother returned safely to her nursing home. Many thanks to these members of staff who, I understand, worked well beyond their scheduled end of shift. Please contact me if you would like the names of these kind members of staff.
