    My husband had a fall and banged his head badly whilst on holiday so we went to Torbay A & E for a check up. We were away from home and feeling very vulnerable and everyone was welcoming and reassuring. We would like to thank everyone involved who were so kind and friendly and even fed us at 8 pm as we had missed our hotel dinner. The young lady doctor and male nurse in particular were so kind and understanding. Thank you

    I received amazing care for my self inflicted condition and nothing was too much bother. I felt safe and cared for and all of the team took care of me. Thank you.

    Thanks to the Ward Manager the only place we’re ready to go is six feet under. Appreciate the six week stay and the medication. Absolute gratitude for the amazing weight loss. Thank you for showing us what medicine in England is all about.

    Good care in Dunlop ward following a heart attack. All staff including cleaners, catering, healthcare workers, nurses all levels and consultants gave me good care and very helpful with my questions. Also when my daughter came in and asked questions about me, nothing was too much trouble. The choice of food was great and very tasty.

    I just want to thank the staff members working in A&E and the AMU between the 11th and 13th of August! My partner came in with a very complex history and he was in a really bad way and every member of staff from start to finish was so helpful, so caring and so quick and efficient! They attended to our every need and just did such a fantastic job! We are so grateful and managed to enjoy the rest of our holiday. Thank you again x

    Reception closed sign up till 0840 this morning yet appointment for 0830. Lady serving- no “good mornings” or even a hello , no smile. Second time didn’t even look at me just stuck her hand out to get the paperwork. Poor Staff to Patient front desk attitude. It’s not hard to smile and be polite

    my wife, carole, had a total abdominal hysterectomy carried out in torbay Hospital on 28th august 2024. I should like to mention the total professionalism shown by all the staff we came in contact with. This includes mr m. s. in the weeks leading up to admission day and by mr j. h. who carried out the operation. It was a difficult time as carole has early Alzheimer’s so the care the nursing staff gave to carole was most appreciated. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to both teams involved. This is weird. Your review cannot include words that are all in capital letters I tried to remove all capital letters.

    I had an accident on Holiday in Devon and had time be taken to hospital. Everyone I came in contact with from the paramedics, staff in A and E, trauma and orthopedics treated me with compassion and care and I felt safe. My family were also treated with thoughtfulness. I ended my stay in Ella Ward , where the staff were absolutely marvellous and so considerate of all patients that were there. I would particularly like to mention a particular nurseand the hca that was on duty with her, whose total care for their patients, particularly the elderly, was exemplary. The physios and occupational staff were inspiring. My entire stay there was only marred by the meals... .excellent choices, great delivery but the cooking let the whole process down. Everything was beige and soft and tasteless. Making it almost inedible. For your patients to continue recovery a far more tasty option needs to be found. This was the only negative in my stay but I do believe that a more appetising and attractive cooking would speed up recovery.

    Who says the NHS is broken they are wrong. I had an absolutely super Health Care Assistant who looked after me today for 4 hours taking me through everything, she was there at my back and call, nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant Doctor done in quick time all responded to my emergency needs and I thank you all.
