    I was in Torbay Hospital for planned surgery and I just wanted to say a great big thank you to everyone who cared for me the surgical staff recovery staff the staff on Ella Rowcroft ward the porters everyone X-ray ct scan too many names to remember I don’t know how they keep cheerful in adversity with what they have to put up with amazing people I cannot imagine a more stressful job for them all and how they cope I felt as if I was the only one who was there yet the ward was full and more waiting to come in I can’t thank them enough brilliant words are not enough they deserve so much better thank you once again for your kindness and support and making my stay so special you all don’t have the recognition and respect that you deserve I know that I couldn’t do your work and still smile amazing words are not enough thank you

    My husband had a fall and banged his head badly whilst on holiday so we went to Torbay A & E for a check up. We were away from home and feeling very vulnerable and everyone was welcoming and reassuring. We would like to thank everyone involved who were so kind and friendly and even fed us at 8 pm as we had missed our hotel dinner. The young lady doctor and male nurse in particular were so kind and understanding. Thank you

    Amazing team looked after me throughout the day of my knee surgery. Everyone was happy and energised, even towards the end of their day and despite having to deal with one patient who arrived at lunchtime with a really bad attitude towards the staff. The staff are there to care for you, deserve respect and are true professionals as are the back of house staff who cook, clean and admin. Never thought I'd say this but having surgery here was actually a pleasure. Our thanks again to a brilliant team.

    By nature I am naturally a very nervous and apprehensive person so I was ultimately delighted with the way I was treated at the new Torbay Hospital Endoscopy Unit. It is a pleasant environment with a calm and reassuring atmosphere. I was treated wonderfully well by all of the personnel. I would advise anyone else attending here that there is nothing to be concerned about, it is a brilliant service. Thank you to all concerned.

    Thanks to the Ward Manager the only place we’re ready to go is six feet under. Appreciate the six week stay and the medication. Absolute gratitude for the amazing weight loss. Thank you for showing us what medicine in England is all about.

    Good care in Dunlop ward following a heart attack. All staff including cleaners, catering, healthcare workers, nurses all levels and consultants gave me good care and very helpful with my questions. Also when my daughter came in and asked questions about me, nothing was too much trouble. The choice of food was great and very tasty.

    I just want to thank the staff members working in A&E and the AMU between the 11th and 13th of August! My partner came in with a very complex history and he was in a really bad way and every member of staff from start to finish was so helpful, so caring and so quick and efficient! They attended to our every need and just did such a fantastic job! We are so grateful and managed to enjoy the rest of our holiday. Thank you again x

    Reception closed sign up till 0840 this morning yet appointment for 0830. Lady serving- no “good mornings” or even a hello , no smile. Second time didn’t even look at me just stuck her hand out to get the paperwork. Poor Staff to Patient front desk attitude. It’s not hard to smile and be polite
