  3. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sian Canning - Posted on 17 June 2024

The care and support I received from Allerton ward staff, SRU, MRI service and Endoscopy team was excellent. I was made to feel safe, treated with dignity and kindness when I was feeling vulnerable and was treated respectfully as an individual. Staff were professional and helpful when I felt afraid and ensured to the best of their ability that I was kept comfortable and calm, for which I was so grateful. I cannot thank them enough for all that they do, their expertise and dedication to their vocation is beyond admirable. The value of relief this afforded me in my treatment and recovery was priceless. Thank you.

  5. Review titled Excellent and caring treatment from Torbay Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 August 2024

Was under Maxiofacial Consultant Surgeon for two years and had two ops which were successful. Both under general anaesthetic. It gave me the confidence to have three further ops under local anaesthetic in the Dermatology dept in a small unit nearby. I am clear at present at 78. The Consultant was friendly and reassuring. I would, recommend those departments to anyone needing appropriate treatment. There is a very caring attitude from everyone you meet. It is even better since Covid. I think we all feel Life is too short to be other than pleasant. I agree. The Dr in Dermatology and staff were excellent.

  7. Review titled Outstandingly helpful service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Delighted patient - Posted on 11 May 2024

I wish to give praise to a very helpful man in the Radiology Appointments section. In brief, I had to get a dental emergency appointment (very lucky to get this) which was 30 minutes after my appointment in X-Ray Radiology on the same day. As this was a logistical difficulty I rang the Radiology Appointments department that morning and was put through to this young man. He was exceptionally kind, understanding and helpful and managed to find me an appointment earlier in the day. I know that people are all to quick to complain about NHS service and felt that I would like to redress the balance as well as sending the young man my sincere thanks for his help. He is a real credit to Torbay Hospital. Furthermore, I must add that I was treated kindly and professionally by the staff in the Radiology Department. The visit was so smooth and efficient that I managed to complete it within the 30 minutes of free parking. My sincere thanks to you all.

  8. Review titled Bad

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Peter - Posted on 02 May 2024

After calling 111 about our 6 month old baby. We was told to go to a&e where we was told that we had an appointment in 30 minutes time which was at 10pm. Upon arriving at the a&e with our 6 month old baby we still hadn’t been seen by anyone whatsoever by 2am. Which to me to keep a baby waiting that long after being told by 111 that we had an appointment is absolutely disgusting on behalf of Torbay hospital.
