  1. Review titled Amazing experience at Pembury admissions

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Glenna DB - Posted on 18 February 2025

Thank you to the amazing staff, nurses, receptionists, doctors for making my experience ‘bearable’ when I was petrified. My consultant was fantastic, calm, professional, I knew intrinsically I could trust her. The anaesthetic team first class!! Never had an op before or a GA so you can imagine my fear! Absolute 🔥 warriors 🔥 all of them ❤️❤️🙏

  3. Review titled Great Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Skipwith - Posted on 28 December 2024

My wife suffered a very nasty fall from stairs on Christmas eve. We were attended to by a brilliant ambulance crew of two ladies. Picking up an injured patient from the floor, into the Ambulance, checking over, reassuring. Their calm professionalism was outstanding. At the A&E department we were attended by nurses who were so kind and caring. And X-rayed by a radiographer who was really thorough and who works with you, not on you. And discharged by a Doctor who we will remember for his kindness and friendliness. It is altogether a great team, a big team working so well together - through the night on Christmas Eve! Thank you.

  4. Review titled Contradictory discharge advice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Angela Dale - Posted on 18 December 2024

2 weeks After a successful (I hope) operation on my broken leg, I saw the registrar at the fracture clinic. He clearly told me that I should remove the walking boot inside & on level surfaces. I therefore removed it, which caused some pain and swelling. I was surprised not to have been warned about the pain and swelling. 5 days later, my GP told me they’d received a letter stating that I should keep the boot on! I have emailed the hospital about this contradictory advice, but am still waiting for a reply. I therefore phoned the hospital, who suggested a telephone consultation on Friday: a week after I’d been told to take the boot off, and 3 days after I’d been told to keep it on! To say I’m upset is an understatement. I would like advice/information, but it seems that Pembury hospital can’t provide this until Friday. The very sympathetic receptionist said ‘bless you’. But what I want is advice and information from a doctor, not a blessing

  7. Review titled Shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Shaun - Posted on 14 October 2024

My little baby had a really high temperature and didn't look at all himself. So rang the GP and got an appointment. But they said if he gets worse than take him to a&e which we did. On arrival not one space was available. Half an hour, back and forth to different car parks we eventually found a space. So got triage quite quickly. Board said an hour to see the doctor. 4 hours later we saw the doctor. These timings are not good enough and seriously need to be sorted out.

I brought my daughter in last night with gastroenteritis and was immediately referred to the children’s A & E unit. She was seen within minutes and the staff were absolutely fantastic! The doctor and nurses reassured me and they had my daughter treated and in a bed in no time at all. Fantastic service by the NHS staff. Thank you all.
