  1. Review titled Fabulous

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The care my mother has received has been second to none. I cannot thank you enough. Sadly, I have had to take my dad to visit using one of your wheelchairs. Oh my goodness, what an awful experience. I myself am disabled. I have had to find the strength to push down the brake and push the chair forwards at the same time. This is not a complaint, it is a plea for something easier to use. I have found it almost beyond me at times but have had to battle on. I beg you, please reconsider the wheelchairs you offer the public to use. Thank you for your consideration

  2. Review titled Exceptional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had knee replacement surgery and found all the staff from cleaners to operating staff outstanding. All very kind and caring nothing was too much trouble. I desperately wanted to go home the same day and it was looking unlikely as I had to have a x-ray and the pharmacy was closing I hadn't got my meds. The staff went above and beyond to make it happen and managed to get me ready to go home by 8.00pm. Thank you all so much. I absolutely recommended the orthopaedic department and couldn't have had a better experience.

  3. Review titled Suggestion for improvement of procedure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Ssndison - Posted on 27 July 2023

On the colonoscopy report it states (quite correctly) under "advice/comments" that the preparation was poor and under the heading "Report" that preparation was inadequate. This was due to incorrect advice given on the Bowel preparation sheet to "have a good breakfast of foods taken from yesterday's permitted list" and gave far too little time for solids to be passed through the digestive system. I followed the advice precisely and had had omelette and yoghurt for said breakfast. My suggestion (also communicated to the practitioner) is that this be changed and a liquid 'shake', or liquid food substitute be given in dis-solvable powder form to the patient for breakfast and lunch (only, no supper) the day before the procedure. This would eliminate the likelihood of solids still being present in the bowel when a colonoscopy is performed.

From when I arrived at 7 a m in the morning until I left at 19.30 the same evening I had nothing but great, friendly and professional treatment from all staff on Thomas Ward. Everything ran smoothly from check in, bed allocation, pre op briefs from the Ward team, the aneathesist and surgical team. Made to feel relaxed for the whole of the theatre and recovery part . Post op checks by the Ward staff and Physio teams were prompt and thorough.. Had Teas, Coffeees , lunch and tea in Ward which were varied warm and tasty. Finally a massive thank you to all the nursing team on Thomas ward. I had a good laugh , felt safe and would recommend your care to anyone.

  6. Review titled Thomas and Charlecote Wards

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David John Brown - Posted on 13 July 2023

After falling over upon exiting a shower I smashed my femur.( I am 78 years old, but normally agile and fit). I was rescued from the floor by three brilliant paramedics (two stalwarts plus a trainee) they were amazing and somehow extricated me from a small en-suite and got me downstairs. Brilliant !!! The A and E were great too and soon had me through to Thomas Ward where the care was again first class with some very good people indeed who could not have been kinder or more considerate. The following day I was operated upon and again the experience was first class. I then spent 12 days in Charlecote Ward. Here you have the most delightful, dedicated , hard working staff that anyone could wish for. Truly a wonderful team and with hearts of solid gold !! I shall forever be grateful to them all, each and every one.

  8. Review titled Great team and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

: I attended the Endoscopy Unit at Warwick Hospital for a Colonoscopy on 06.06.23 I must praise the team for their expertise, kindness and humour during my examination. Also to the nurse who explained everything beforehand and who looked after me immediately after the procedure. I felt no discomfort at all and the team very patiently explained the process as it happened. I had thought of cancelling the appointment but am now very glad that I didn't. I am grateful and thankful to you all. With Regards, Tim
