Review titled Superb Department
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Angela Lovering-Moon - Posted on 18 June 2024
From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I felt looked after and was treated with such respect. The nurse I had was amazing so kind and very thoughtful. My procedure went very well and I am so grateful to the Helen Donald Unit for looking after me so well.

To start with its impossible to park, so next time i will call an ambulance! Sent as an emergency patient because the Gastro team still have not got back to my son with any diagnosis or help. 14 years on and still being messed about, never get results and communication is pathetic. No appointment after the so called emergency CT scan at the beginning of May. Very let down!

by Anne Marie Scarff - Posted on 28 June 2024
I was seen in the A&E department early June. The whole process was seamless from booking in at reception, triage nurses, Orthopaedic Surgeons. The whole service was efficient and professional. The staff were friendly and compassionate. 10 out of 10 from me.

Came in as emergency gall bladder situation. Extremely efficient and caring staff. Was treated with kindness and professionalism throughout. Wonderful surgical team led by a fabulous surgeon, who put me at ease and the aftercare was efficient and caring. Highly recommend.

From a&e to Flaunden ward could not fault the care and kindness throughout my stay from Friday to Sunday. Everything was explained clearly and my discharge form stated when I should take my medication. Very impressed.

Attended AE on a Friday night, all staff were very friendly and professional under very busy circumstances. A special thank you to M****m who examined me and the took time to explain the injury to enable me to self care, whilst awaiting referal.

Review titled Amazing care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jennifer - Posted on 15 June 2024
Went in with suspected blocked bowel. Seen by triage within 10 minutes, and then on to treatment area within 15 minutes. Finally onto major trauma room where I was examined, bloods taken, had an ECG and then x-rayed. By this stage less than 2 hour from when I arrived. Saw 2 more doctors and a consultant and they decided there was no blockage. I was given strong laxative and they did not want me to leave until i had opened my bowels. Whilst we were waiting my husband and I were given free sandwiches and drinks. Throughout the staff were sympathetic, kind and very professional. The hospital was spotlessly clean. I cannot rate my experience highly enough. Thank you Watford General!

I had blood test done in june and the consultant was meant to forward them to my gp and didn't do so and iv looked at my results and Iv got bad liver disease and I'm sure the consultant should of followed up with me or my gp to help get me back to health and what we could change aks medication and diet to help my liver heal but iv not heard anything and Iv been trying for months now to get in contact with the consultant and Iv left countless messages and iv not anything back at all I'm really disappointed as iv had some really good experiences at Watford general in the past but this is not excitable

Review titled Unprofessional
Rated 1 star out of 5

I came in with a predicted faulty positive pregnancy test / phantom pregnancy! The staff were horrendous! They didn’t listen to what I was saying at all , they just went with what they wanted! They made me feel unheard and very stressed out and uncomfortable! As you can imagine I was stress and anxious anyway but they made it 10* worse. They didn’t help at all! If anything they made the situation worse for me! They told me I was lying and I was just a silly “ first time mum” who doesn’t know what I’m going on about! I all ready have a little girl! When they found this out they just told me to go home! I was wasting their time! As you can tell I am not happy at all! I will never be going back to Watford hospital again!!!!
