    I visited the Urgent care centre today after my son had a fall at school. The whole team were so kind and efficient. The care was excellent from start to finish. All staff introduced themselves, made sure my son knew exactly what was happening and why, and that he was happy to have his treatment. They were gentle and patient and we’re both very grateful for how he was looked after today. Thank you!

    Having broken my wrist in August 2022, the service and help I received was exceptional. From the first responder, the paramedics, the staff at the Treliske and West Cornwall Hospital, and from the physios at the West Cornwall.

    Appointment given for chest x-ray at West Cornwall. The appointment should have been made for six weeks after the previous x-ray. However, the appt was made for four weeks by the radiology admin. This resulted in a wasted journey and wasted time. When asked why the response from the radiographer was that they are busy and short-staffed. I do not find this acceptable and it should never be used as a first line of defence - the entire NHS is short-staffed and busy. What if this were an elderly person who wasn’t able to drive and relied on (and paid for) transport to get to West Cornwall? I have asked what assurances will be given that someone will look at your processes to reduce the risk of a similar incident occurring again.

    Dear New Grandaf I would like to apologise for your recent poor experience and the error in sending you an incorrect appointment date. Our administration team have been reminded to ensure all details regarding specific timings of appointments are adhered to. The Team Lead for our community site X-ray departments has also reminded all radiography staff to read the clinical information on the x-ray referrals at all stages of the booking process.     I came in with acute sciatic pain and was seen by a doctor within 2.5 hours. The nurses were all kind, patient and empathetic and the doctor listened to my past experiences of back pain and prescribed pain relief while giving clear advice and instructions on what to do next. I really appreciated everyone’s calm and empathetic manner and the fact that my own opinions and experiences were listened to.
