Took my 89 year old Dad after a fall. It was quite a long wait between triage and getting to treatment but all the staff were very kind and extremely thorough despite being incredibly busy and, I think, short-staffed for the number of patients arriving on a Saturday afternoon.

Having had a cataract operation today, I have nothing but praise and admiration for the whole department staff. From booking in to discharge was easy and informative. The whole team from the consultant down were friendly, caring, informative, reassuring. This put my anxiety to rest and the whole procedure was relaxed and pain free. Please pass on my gratitude to the whole team. They are awesome.

We came into urgent care today with my toddler who had suffered burns from a cup of coffee. The staff were so brilliant and helpful. We were seen quickly by a nurse and a doctor. Several nurses came in to help calm him down while reassuring me too. They dressed his leg and he was much more comfortable. I can’t rate the service high enough today, it was fantastic. Thank you.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff on the surgery ward yesterday they were kind, helpful, professional, everything that just helped me relax and it made the surgery experience go well for me as I was worried. I have been fortunate not to require the services of the NHS very much. However recently, my GP referred me to the colorectal service for bowel related symptoms. I was apprehensive about the procedure and findings. The care, compassion and professionalism I experienced was truly outstanding. I cannot thank the team enough for looking after me so well. It certainly makes you appreciate our wonderful NHS and the incredible people who work within it!

Very efficient, effective and caring Doctors, nurses and staff. Excellent diagnostics done quickly and with great communication between staff and patients. Thank you your care today was so reassuring and helpful.

I had a planned admission to West Cornwall Hospital for a minor operation. I wanted to thank all of the staff involved in my care for the kindness that they showed. The unit was run really efficiently. I was near the end of the theatre list and I was kept informed and well cared for by the hospital team throughout the day. Thank you for making this experience such a positive one.

My mum attended the day case ward today having a procedure which I dropped her this morning and picked her up This afternoon. She spoke about how the staff made her feel at ease and treated her as an individual,I’d like to thank you for that as I know what it’s like being in hospital.. Amazing staff and an amazing hospital x

I have had impacted wax in my ear (R). After several attempts to remove the wax from my GP, they referred me to Aural Care at WC Hospital. I have had 2 attempts on separate appointments to extract the wax-debris by two different clinical nurse specialists, both of whom have treated me with respect, kindness, professionalism and expertise, gently performing the aural care necessary. I have been referred to the ENT consultant with a concern about further treatment. The care and experience at West Cornwall Hospital was at all times excellent. Smiles, helpful directions, and everything one would expect. Thank you, one and all.

Attended Penlee Unit for hysteroscopy and coil insertion. I was extremely nervous due to previous experiences elsewhere. The team were all so kind and supportive and made the experience as minimally stressful as possible. They are very person-centred and allowed me to feel I was in control throughout, which made such a difference. I felt truly cared for and was even given tea and biscuits afterwards! A massive thank you!
