After an unexpected fall I was today taken to West Mendip Treatment Centre where the wonderful and friendly staff examined and stitched my wound immediately. Thank you to you all.

  2. Review titled Awful service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am currently having a disappointing experience at west mendip on the ward with my family member. Despite her clear need for physiotherapy, she is not being provided with any support during my stay. This lack of care contributed to two falls, which could have been easily prevented with proper attention and assistance. The overall neglect of patient safety and inadequate rehabilitation resources left me feeling frustrated and patients unsafe.I would not recommend this hospital for anyone needing proper rehabilitation or support. The facilities are far from stimulating and quite frankly mind numbing for patients. During multiple visits we have only seen domestic staff within the bay.

  3. Review titled Exceptional treatment

I visited West Mendip hospital today with an infected fly bite and was seen and treated comprehensively promptly. It was very well organised, and everyone I saw was caring and thorough. An example of small units are better.

Contacted GP re concerns Cyst on Peroneal Nerve affecting mobility & causing pain. Referral sent to Oasis who refused referral stating I should see Musculoskeletal staff at surgery. GP later advised when referral refused Oasis made no mention of Cyst!

  5. Review titled Urgent Treatment Centre is an invaluable facility

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended Shepton Mallet Community Hospital UTC (MIU as was) with a minor eye injury. I was so relieved to be seen so quickly (it was quite painful) and the nurse was very thorough and reassuring. This hospital, and in particular the Urgent Treatment Centre, is an invaluable asset to the local community and a credit to the NHS.

A very short wait before being seen. Excellent treatment from two very kind and professional nurses. I was sutured up and off back home in half an hour. Faultless experience.

  7. Review titled No service available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Local resident - Posted on 01 March 2024

We called here after a RTA after first trying our local MIU at Bridgwater was closed-we arrived before 7pm it turned away as “they were too busy to see us”. Two local services closed on the same evening-advice was go to Mysgrove A&E - our visit was not an emergency so didn’t want to waste space at A&E

  8. Review titled Fantastic treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Angela Gould - Posted on 10 February 2024

The receptionist and nurses (I saw 3 of them) were all excellent. I was unable to get an appointment at my G.P. surgery who suggested I came here. The nurses were caring and took time talking to me and considering treatment. I went away feeling reassured, looking better and with a prescription in case I needed it at the weekend. The service was first class and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My gardening minor injury was efficiently dealt with straightaway. The staff on duty between 5pm and 6pm on Monday 19th February were all professional, pleasant and cheerful and there was a quiet calmness in the building which was clean and orderly. Thank you to everyone :)

Called into A and E this morning as couldn’t get an appointment with GP. Super efficient staff, welcoming reception and excellent treatment. A credit to the NHS.
