  1. Review titled A&E service was excellent

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Has to go to A &E as there are no longer any minor injuries units open. I was seen within 20 minutes after checking in. The staff at the reception and the nurse that saw me were professional and efficient. Thank you so much .

I was seen within 20 minutes of arriving. I had to wait 4 hours for blood test results which is still very quick. All staff were kind, caring, polite and courteous. I cannot praise this department highly enough.

  4. Review titled Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Thank you for saving my life. I ended up having an ectopic pregnancy which needed emergency key hole surgery to save my life as it had burst. I don’t remember much of the night but I do remember how kind and caring everyone was and trying to explain everything to me. In the beginning of the year my father in law was also taken to Wexham and he also praised the care he received.

  6. Review titled Very efficient practice

I was referred to Wrexham via the 111 service because of suspected atrial fibrillation. I was dealt with very promptly and had an ECG and blood tests followed by another ECG during a consultation with a physician. I was advised to discuss future medication with my GP and allowed home. The process was completed in 3 hours , all by very courteous staff. The new A& E seemed to be highly efficient. I was impressed and thank all the staff. Try

My elderly father is currently staying at this hospital. When I called on the phone the nurses were lovely to me. After talking with him, he told me he is very happy with the care he has received. I just want to thank your hospital staff for being there for him.

  8. Review titled No help whatsoever

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have been ringing this hospital to change an appointment I was given for over a week now. Ringing 10 times a day. No one answers the phone, or sometimes it is engaged. I can’t make the appointment I was given and I can’t cancel my appointment as I have to ring the same number - which no one answers. Have tried going through the operator - they don’t seem to do their job either. Impossible to get in contact with the hospital. Worst experience and customer service I have ever seen in a public setting.

  9. Review titled Day surgery unit 2 and recovery were awrful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 June 2023

The surgeon and anesthetist team were outstanding . However from the moment I arrived. No bedding my husband was told to leave . I tried to let the nurses know I had an additional drug that they just didn't listen to me. Then put me down as allergic to 2 drugs that I was intolerant to not allergic to. Then I told them about my bloods as I'm a diabetic . They still didn't listen. But recovery was even worse. I came round to a nurse being really loud about her personal life then got told to wake up by another nurse. Then I was told to sit up straight with a torn rotator cuff injury and breast surgery on the other side. I needed the bed pan . The nurse spilt this and I was just left in it. Then my Sat's wouldn't come up and I was on oxygen but then nurse called the ward said you need to take her now I have a one on one to take .. the nurse who came to collect me told the recovery nurse she is not ready to come to the ward , but the nurse ignored her stating I have another one on one patient to look after . The nurse from the ward just kept apologising to me . Then when they realised I was left in wet sheet the just threw another one on the bed . The bed wasn't made at all. I have had 13 brain ops and u have to say this has been the worst experience I've ever had. As stated the surgical team and anesthetic team were absolutely amazing . However I never want to experience this hospital again. Frimley why are you allowing this to happen to patients. I was thrown out if there with no real idea as to what on earth was going on.

  10. Review titled Superb Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Longshaw - Posted on 16 June 2023

Having been admitted with blood in my urine and severe constipation, I had an initial examination within 4 minutes. I was taken directly to the operational area where I received fairly quick attention which relieved the pain of an extended bladder in less than thirty minutes of arriving at the hospital. I was asked to wait on a stretcher opposite the Sister's desk where I was able to observe the proceedings in this department. I was greatly impressed with professionalism of all the staff, including the ambulance staff, who never seemed to stop in their duties. In particular, I would like to commend the Sister on duty (Early morning of 13 June) for her incredible ability to manage so many staff and activities. Please convey my great thanks for this service. I was attended by three Urological staff including a Senior consultant, who finally recommended that I could be released that afternoon, with a review two weeks later. The explanations I was given were very clear and given in a very courteous manner. An earlier internal examination was offered to verify my condition and a date was offered to visit Heatherwood and this was made just two days later. I have received Superb Service from Wexham Park A&E and feel it appropriate to bring this to your attention. Many thanks.
