Attended for a chest X-ray . Parking great and reasonably priced. I was in and out in 50 mins. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Clear instructions, very professional. Just a very positive experience.

Review titled Rudeness
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I arrived at Minor Injuries at around 8pm in order to get a bad sprain on my hand and wrist assessed and advised on, fully prepared to wait as long as I needed to. Upon arriving I was greeted by a blank and judgemental member of staff who was incredibly condescending and rude. After explaining what my issue was, they bluntly said “a&e. We’re full”. After enquiring a bit further for my own clarification, the member of staff told me to go home “if I think I could survive the night”, in a horribly demanding tone. This rudeness is not at all what I expected from a member of staff. Really hope they haven’t treated others in this way!

Review titled Minor Injuries Department

Visited Wharfedale Hospital on 22/7/24 after suffering a bad fall and injuring my arm. I didn’t know wether it was broken or not.Tried telephoning before. I was advised that it would be quicker to be seen by minor injuries than GP. After paying for parking, seen by a rather uninterested receptionist who told me that there was no one in the department who could see me. Advised that there might be someone available later on. She also said that they were short staffed Left feeling very disappointed. What used to be a lovely little hospital was now a very understaffed poor hospital.

Review titled Efficient, friendly, easy to access.

I visited the walk-in phlebotomy service today to get my bloods done after my GP appointment today and was in and out within less than 10min. The GP appointment would have been in a few weeks time and I really needed my blood results quicker and so this was suggested to me. The staff were friendly and very efficient, they checked my records- my GP had already sent them down and we’re good at getting blood. In and out! I am very impressed by this whole service. The last time I visited Wharfdale for an ultrasound appointment it was very similar. It is definitely my preferred hospital. Well done to the staff at wharfdale front facing and those that have made this process easy to access.

My elderly mum had a leg wound- 111 online advised Wharfedale. We rang and were advised to await a callback at home as it was busy. Soon got a call from I think an ANP who said to come down and we were seen almost immediately. Very impressed with speed and efficiency. Friendly, courteous and welcoming service! Thank you

Review titled Minor Injuries Unit /111

From ringing 111 thinking I had an allergic reaction in my salivary glands , receiving notice that Doctor would ring within 12 hours to getting call from her within 15 minutes, explaining I was 90 years old and telling her my symptoms, being asked if I could get to Wharfedale Hospital, yes by taxi, waited about ten minutes. Had extensive examination and was told unexpectedly that I had mumps. Had welcome cup of tea while she filled in Notifiable Disease Form. Taxi ordered for me and I was home again just three hours from start to finish on a Saturday ! I can’t praise the staff enough but gather I can’t give names, pity. Thank you all especially the Doctor.

Having badly sliced my leg open with a circular saw, I attended the minor injuries dept today. I was seen almost immediately by an extremely nice doctor, whose name I didn't get, unfortunately. He was very professional, reassuring and attended to my wound. I was given the best possible care, with everything explained in detail throughout. I was stitched up, wound dressed and was on my way within 40 minutes of arriving. I could not have wished for better. Thank you very much indeed, especially to the doctor that attended to me.

So good to have a walk in service to start process of having tests done quickly without waiting for letters through the post . Thankyou

Not enough staff on for minor injuries. After sitting for 2 hours only 3 people had been called. Nurses just walking about chatting and going in the stock cupboard. There is certainly no sense of urgency for them. People coming in hours after me and being seen first and certainly didn’t need to. Receptionist staff are not the friendliest and don’t look like they enjoy their jobs. No communication as to how long waiting times are. Still waiting to be seen might be here all day.
