  1. Review titled Some staff need training

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2023

Went in recently with a patient who had an appointment for an issue with her breasts. We asked whether a female doctor was available for the physical examination and the staff member at the desk rolled her eyes. There are a number of reasons why a person might ask to see a female doctor; there might be sexual trauma, or there might be religious reasons or other. Either way, as a medical professional, they should be impartial and what she should have done is said either yes or no - without the sass. The experience made the patient feel very small and belittled so some training in compassion would go a long way I would imagine! Other members of staff were a great help.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Jessica Worthington-Little - Posted on 03 February 2023

Really impressed with the efficiently, care and kindness of the staff I encountered when using the an and e service last week. The receptionist was friendly and got us straight to the minors dept who dealt with us with 30 mins. They were also very friendly and kind. We were in and out in an hour which is very impressive when the department was very busy. Thank you whipps cross!

  3. Review titled Very rude staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 February 2023

I came in to ane last week and I have never ever been spoken to so rudely buy a member of staff in my life she was so rude to someone who was scared in extreme pain and all she said was I will be ok when I leave here it’s a fast paced job I’ve worked for the nhs for many years but if you can’t deal with hard situations then don’t work there and take it out on unwell people it’ was disgusting and I will be putting in a formal complaint about the woman and the way she treated me and your hospital is disgusting and needs a deep clean blood on floor and door handles is unacceptable and the behaviour of your member of staff working in the first door as you enter taking blood tests is nothing short of disgusting and I will be reporting her PALS

  4. Review titled Amazing wTd

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pata - Posted on 06 March 2023

I was omitted to Rowan Ward Bay l on 27th February, staying for almost a week. Going in as emergency could have been scary. However the opposite was true. The nurses were amazing, but one in particular stood out. Her name is Comfort Sanders. Great name, Great nurse; she went out of her way to put me at my ease as much as was possible. The whole team were great. Well done Rowan Ward. Food was excellent and on time. Whilst my condition was painful, nurses were with me immediately to keep it under control. A re-occurrence would not be nice, but with this experience there would not be the fear of going again.

  5. Review titled They working like a watch

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Nadire Asllani - Posted on 02 March 2023

I want to thank this hospital for what they have done for me since my first day I arrived here with a very bad dislocated hip. I thank all doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, cleaners for great care they have given to me. One smile doesn’t cost anything, but it makes you feel safe and important to them. The staff is smiling, they tried to make you feel safe. Very well organised like a fútbol team. The doctor explained to me what he would do with my hip. I didn’t know that this hospital existed before I dislocated my hip. I’m very impressed with the discipline, correction and rules. I have been in other hospitals as well, but it looks to me totally different. I’m not mentioning names, because of the rules, but my good words have no end. We often are used to read bad reviews about hospitals, but we should appreciate and encourage the staff of hospitals when they are working very hard to save lives. When we are in great pain and in hopeless situation, then we are appreciating their sacrifice. So, when to leave a review, we have to see how hard they are working, what they are doing for us, and then we have to think what to say. So, all I want to say is a great thank you and congratulations to their great job that they are doing to save lives! My rate review is five stars.

  6. Review titled Maternity triage

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2023

I went to maternity triage at 27 weeks pregnant, having experienced a sudden rush of fluid, that continued over a 24 hour period, and with the fear it could be amniotic. I waited for hours in the waiting room, hoping to be seen in the triage unit. As time went on, and patients came and went, I began to feel I was worrying unnecessarily and wasting their time. So after three hours, I asked for my notes back, and had to sign a waiver to say I was leaving of my own accord. The doctor or nurse who came out with my file didn't acknowledge me - just handed the file to the receptionist as I stood there and said to him: 'Get her to put a copy of the waiver in her notes.' And walked off. The whole experience was pretty dehumanising. I'm no clearer to understanding whether there was anything wrong, but think there mustn't have been.

  7. Review titled Terrible Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 February 2023

Needed to see minor injuries unit due to worsening pain in arm 3 weeks after fall. The only time somebody even looked at my arm was to check blood pressure. All seemed rushed. Got a telephone appointment with a GP (which I am more than capable of doing myself) and they cannot refer me for a scan directly as my GP is in the borough of Newham so have to contact my own GP. Feels like a wasted journey and that it would have been easier if I could see someone face to face. I do not like going to hospitals for no reason and this is my first time attending minor injuries and I am very disappointed in the service.

  8. Review titled Very caring!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patricia Ainsworth - Posted on 24 February 2023

Not for first time spent some time in Plane Tree Centre Yesterday 22.2.23. Always a pleasant experience, but one I have never written about. Such caring kind staff who go out of their way, to reassure, and explain proceedures to you. They work so hard, and definitely need an increase in their salaries. I left feeling my day had gone well, and another visit would be a pleasure.

  10. Review titled Thorough and compassionate care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sam Hewitt - Posted on 02 January 2023

Attended A&E on New Years Day following a horse riding accident. Received an exceptionally high level of care - doctors were thorough, professional and caring. I was seen quickly and every precaution was taken. I was made to feel at ease and couldn’t fault the staff - the department was busy and they were clearly under pressure. However, all of the staff I came into contact with (doctors, nurses, CT scanning staff, xray) were fantastic.
