  1. Review titled Best in London & beyond!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2024

Treated on time! Staff very helpful as wheelchair user and disabled! Wider doorways would be much more helpful for the carer pushing the wheelchair & the disabled person waiting to be assessed! Also both us & Hospital staff found the hospital extra cold & that’s not good for patients staff or visitors!

  2. Review titled Patience and care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2024

I have sensory processing issues and a busy AE is really challenging for me. I was overwhelmed when I was called for a blood test, I was distressed and crying. The nurse was so nice and extremely patient with me. Usually, people got scared and/or irritated because of my behaviour but he stayed calm and just genuinely wanted to help me.

  3. Review titled Poplar Ward the worst you'll ever see

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mustafa Mahmoud - Posted on 16 January 2024

Note:This is behalf of my diabetic mother The behaviour of some of the nurses on this ward is disgusting and they need retraining , no empathy , no respect or manners and it makes you wonder how this ward has gotten commended on its behaviour when clearly the behaviour on this ward is appalling. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. One of the nurses had the biggest attitude and you wonder over what ? No manner of respect at all , I overheard her talking to the big lady who was the sister in charge about me because I wanted to understand my mother's illness and when I walked off she says argh that 'that guys gonna kill me ' what kind of behaviour is this? If you have no empathy, do not work in a job that requires empathy . fix up your staff who have no manners . worst service that I have ever seen in a hospital from such despicable humans.

My 88 year mum was admitted 2 weeks ago with a broken hip she also as dementia I wasn't aware of anything until the surgeon phoned me on the Monday to say mum needed urgent operation on that day otherwise the pain may kill her now she also has a lot of hurt and lung condition I had too trust the surgeon too go ahead thankfully the operation went well and the surgeon was so kind to call me after mum's operation I have too say the nurses have been kind compassionate and caring aswell as the physios I did have one bad experience on one day I did report as I knew they were agency staff they was awful. My mum as been in several hospitals this year and normally is very upset but the nurses here have been fantastic and have really looked after her and there for her I just think nurses and all that work in the NHS should be rewarded more.

  7. Review titled Wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Sandiford - Posted on 21 December 2023

I recently went into Whipps after a diagnosis of cancer in my bones. I had a femur nail inserted as the femur was in danger of breaking. This I had done with nerve blockers so was awake the whole time. I wish to thank the whole trauma team for their utmost care and going the extra mile to make sure I was OK. The care I received was second to none and cannot fault any part of my care. Likewise the nurses on my ward were lovely and very considerate, nothing was too much trouble. I work in a private hospital but must say that the care I received was no less exceptional than given at my own place of work. Thank you very much to all the consultants, nurses and all who were involved in my care. Well done Whipps, I am full of admiration for all your staff.

  8. Review titled Going That Extra Mile

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Mc - Posted on 13 December 2023

My eye surgery had to be cancelled due to the surgeon being ill. The Reschedule Team contacted me less than half an hour to arrange a new appointment, the team member was most helpful and professional. I was unable to attend the date offered, which was only two weeks away, and asked if there was an earlier date but there were not. I explained that the Consultant had originally told me that the surgery should take place sooner rather later. The team member then offered to contact the surgeon directly. This resulted in an earlier appointment which I was most grateful for. This happened on 6th December so a big thank you to that person (who I can’t name) but I hope this review reaches you. Thank you very much Whipps Eye Unit Reschedule Team

After a surgery to remove an infected cyst my son was told his wound would need to be packed and dressed every day for 7 days by his doctors surgery nurse .seeing as the nurse is only available 2 days a week at the surgery I phoned whipps cross's and was told my son would have to attend whipps a&e everyday to get the treatment he needs this is unacceptable.

  10. Review titled Terrible experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 November 2023

7 hours as of typing (yes I'm still here) with my mum who is 76 and had a full and hurt her leg. The nurse who came in to put her gown on was causing my mum pain and only asked me mid way through what was wrong with. Then laughed when she saw my mum wore incontinence knickers and said they are for children. When I just asked where I can get some food (as the drink and food vending machines are broken and the water cooler has no water) she told me the trolley will be round and ignored me. 7 hours here and haven't seen it once
