Review titled Caring a&e female doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 July 2024
We visited a&e yesterday 21/07 (it was my birthday!) We saw a young female doctor at the end of her long shift. She spent around 30 minutes, listening, talking and recommending treatment for my long illness. I had recently spent three weeks at whh & four days at k&c. She was caring, warm & professional throughout, a real credit to the NHS! Thank you young woman, your honest & kind support, really makes a difference, you’re a credit to your profession. I hope that you had a pleasant evening. Many thanks.

Review titled Efficient, kind experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Teresa - Posted on 18 July 2024
Had hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic and can’t fault the experience. The staff were friendly even though very busy. The doctor went out of her way to explain the findings and the anaesthesiologist was excellent especially as I have underlying issues making anaesthetic more risky. Recovery swift and a comfortable environment. Thank you!

My husband had excellent care and treatment at William Harvey. The staff were attentive and kind from when he was admitted to A&E then through to AMU, Cambridge1 and Kennington Ward. He was really well looked after. Thank you.

Review titled Superb treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jeff Williams - Posted on 17 June 2024
Really great treatment when it was needed. Despite the pressure from the pressure of incoming patients the staff were very cheerful no matter what they had to deal with. Quickly settled on a trolley and made sure I was comfortable, doctor soon had a look and was sent through to majors, where again brilliant care was experienced. the nurses were angels and deserve every penny they earn.

All staff I interacted with from admin to clinical were all fantastic and kind. A particular shout out to a lovely nurse in the women’s health unit who held my hand throughout a difficult appointment.

Review titled Terrible
Rated 1 star out of 5

Last week, I was instructed to call back within a few days, but I've been unable to reach the MRI department despite numerous attempts. I have been waiting for over a month to schedule an appointment, facing constant delays and mistakes. Today alone, I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to speak with the MRI department, only to be told, "no one is available, call back" once I finally reached the front of the queue. This has been happening for over a week now. The service has been terrible. If you can't manage to staff your phones, please turn them off instead of wasting people's time.

Review titled Parking fiasco
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 May 2024
We had an appointment at the fracture clinic. No problem it has a car park. Oh wait a minute, you can’t park in the fracture clinic car park even if you have an appointment as others without an appointment abuse it by parking there. Go and park in the main car park even though there are large numbers of parking spaces with bollards in front of them. Also bear in mind that most people in fracture clinic are there because they have mobility issues and therefore making them walk extra distances seems not to be patient friendly. Our visit was therefore not as smooth as it could have been.

Review titled Very very slow, No communication
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 May 2024
Went to A&E after getting an ‘appointment’ from 111. 22 hours spent there being passed around between departments who weren’t communicating at all. I understand that everywhere is short staffed but it was hard not to lose patience and ultimately pushing people to discharge themselves without receiving treatments Don’t take appointments if they don’t exist and you can’t handle the volume

I am so sorry you had such a poor experience when recently attending our A&E department and that you had such a long wait. I completely empathise and agree with what you are saying. I think most patients are understanding and know when they head to A&E that they are in for a long wait but it is the lack of clarity and information from staff that frustrates people and if this was given as and when staff had the updates or just explaining there is no change and a reason for it I feel it would at least mean that you was kept in the loop. Thank you for your comments I will pass this onto the department. Kind regards Josh Page (Patient Feedback Co-Ordinator)

Review titled A very very big Thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John knapp - Posted on 18 May 2024
Visited today after stupidly running an angle grinder through my left big toe, the speed an extra exceptional care I recieved was first class, given the reason for visit. People need to take a step back and think of the service provided given 1. Its free unlike other countries and 2. And how they managed through the pandamic which we all clapped them for. Stop complaining and thank them all for what they do.
