Review titled Appointment was great
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Jude Sennitt - Posted on 12 August 2024
I was seen by a doctor in the ENT department right on time. The Doctor was knowledgeable, thorough and talked me through the simple procedure before doing it. The doctor was skilful and efficient and responsive to my requests. I was satisfied with the diagnosis and treatment and overall super pleased with the entire experience, apart from the very confusing car park. Thank you Worthing ENT department.

Review titled Great experience on morning of 7/8/24 UTC
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ricky Popp - Posted on 07 August 2024
I came with an infected cyst. The UTC doctor was professional, competent, patient and reassuring. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the whole visit to A and E and subsequently UTC. I would not hesitate to recommend. Every team member I met today was polite, helpful and kind.

Review titled Rude receptionist
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 August 2024
First receptionist spoken to was helpful, but then her colleague, L, took over at lunchtime. She called over to us to move from where we were perched as there was very little seating available and told us to move. I politely explained our situation but she was officious, unfriendly and unpleasant, smirking to her colleague as we had to go outside to wait. Later, people were sitting exactly we had been, but she did not ask them to leave. Very unsympathetic woman when people are here unwell and need to sit down.

Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 08 August 2024
I came in for gallbladder removal surgery and the care from start to finish was absolutely exemplary. All the nurses on the chanctonbury suite were friendly, warm and attentive, the anaesthetists were so lovely, and the staff on recovery were just wonderful. They made me feel so cared for, and they were so so kind. I didn’t at any point feel like I was putting anyone out or that I was being rushed to go home and nothing was too much trouble. A few times I actually felt moved to tears and how kind and caring they all were. Thank you

Review titled Very professional care!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Christine Pytel - Posted on 18 July 2024
A big shout out to the aca zone a, Worthing Hospital doctors and team for my amazing care! On 8th July after I returned from a holiday in Tanzania, I was displaying some worrying symptoms. My gp sent me straight to aca where they were waiting for me. I was immediately hooked up for blood tests, ecg, x-rays etc and was monitored all day. I was allowed to go home in the evening with relevant medication but they arranged for me to return after 3 days for more tests and review. Yesterday I received a phone call from one of the doctors bringing me up to date with all the results and to check my progress. He said he would call me next week to check on me again and review my condition. I couldn’t ask for better treatment than that - the doctors, the nursing staff and all concerned were absolutely wonderful and it’s given me great comfort knowing they had my back. Thank you all so much, I’m very grateful!

Review titled Lack of Compassion
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul Cassidy - Posted on 28 June 2024
I injured my foot and it became very painful to walk on, went to accident and Emergency and was left to wait for 7 hours before being told that staffing hours had dropped to night time levels and it would be another 7-8 hours from that point to see a doctor, I signed out and went home so that I could return tomorrow and wait another 6 hours without treatment, I had to leave again as this time could not skip another work day. All I needed was a pair of crutches so that I could have some of my mobility back to complete day to day tasks as I live alone, receptionist said these must be prescribed by a doctor who by the looks of things I would have to wait 15 hours to see. I went to a GP at Selden Medical Centre who referred me to radiology for an xray, she also said she didn't have the ability to prescribe crutches. Arrived back at Worthing hospital to have my xray, they also wouldn't give me crutches and said I would have to return to A&E to get them... I was shown a lack of compassion and treated as if my mobility, recovery and quality of life was simply nobodies concern.
