  1. Review titled Worse service A&E

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 May 2024

I took my husband on 30/04/24 at 2:30 pm waited over 7 hours and had been told at 9 pm no doctor to see any patients, go back home. And when asked to give blood test result she said it was all clear but sent to our go he had increased white cell so got an infection in his body. Why they lied to us . And did not give ECG report at all. They are horrible nhs staff at Wirthing hospital. Hope I don’t have to go there in rest of my life. My husband is still in a lot of pain . Seen GP yesterday she has referred to endoscopy. Hope they do it soon. Now days we have to die with out any treatment and f wait for NHS.

Went in with chest pains (angina proven on ECG by paramedics) left in main A&E waiting room for 3.5 hrs. Kept being told “there is one person before you” ended up leaving as chest pain had warn off, but later reoccurred at home.

From the moment my husband arrived in A&E last week, he has received superb care from all members of the team. Discharged today - glad to be home but also thankful for the NHS and, on this occasion, Worthing Hospital in particular.

  7. Review titled Calm, thorough and reassuring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 March 2024

We had to visit Children’s A and E yesterday with our son. It was very busy and we had a bit of a wait but the service was amazing. The lady dr we saw was just so lovely and friendly, still smiling and joking even though it was clear they were very busy. Her care was so reassuring for us as parents, with various tests and obs sorted promptly with such kindness and compassion. Once she had discharged us we went away feeling so much reassurance and confident of what to do if we needed help again.

  8. Review titled I'm here in ambulance bed, to be slagged off for being I'll!!!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 March 2024

I arrived to the hospital by ambulance, I am younger than the OAP age and in my late 30s, I unfortunately have a heart condition, which sparked off a very bad experience at home to which 1st response was with me until the paramedics arrived, total 5 people to help me as I was seriously unwell. Unfortunately my GP prescribed a drug that should never of been prescribed as it was contradicting the other drugs I was on (legal prescribed) which at home caused me to pass out, throw up and be dizzy throughout the whole day, best thing as per paramedics, if I continued to take this I could of gone intl cardiac arrest. So that's the breakdown! I arrived and was sitting in the hallway facing the A&E team at the hospital, bare in mind my notes where just given to them, now let me remind the A&E team, I could hear you slagging me off, I could hear everything you said but little did you know once I saw the doctor, he said the same thing do not take this medication it with everything else could of killed you. I was in a bed with a high blood pressure for me, and told to get out of the bed and sit in a chair, bare in mind I told the paramedics my head is lightheaded etc the same I felt at home before I passed out, but hey the A&E staff wanted to say "he does know this is a hospital" the lack of compassion from the staff was a disgrace!! Be ashamed of yourselfs it was only the day staff who finished at 8pm. The evening staff where lovely and friendly, the doctor was excellent and apologised I was sent to the waiting room as I should of been seen straight away, (again cheers to the day staff, for putting me in a bad condition)

  9. Review titled Neglect and mismanagement

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 March 2024

My father was left to slowly waste away, unable to eat or drink, and was even discharged in this state before having to be re-admitted. When eventually he had surgery he is now so weak that he is not recovering. He is still very poorly and we are being told this level of pain over a week after the operation is normal. Not being able to eat is not normal.
