All staff, including front desk, clinicians, surgeons, and house-keeping staff were excellent! I would definitely recommend Bexhill clinic to others. I also had one appointment at Southampton, same care received there!

I arrived on time for my appointment, and then waited one hour and fifteen minutes in a packed waiting room, before being seen for my assessment process. Each part of which, except for at the end, when seeing the Optometrist, was rushed . Like they were in some great hurry. It felt very disrespectful. I felt like an object, not a person. Also, my eyes were examined immediately after the drops were put into them, instead of being left to dilate. Everything was so hurried, except for the waiting in between each check, and getting started in the first place.

From the time of checking in to leaving the practice I could not have been treated any better. I had both eyes treated four weeks apart by the same surgeon who put me at ease and the staff were all helpful. The team worked hard to prepare me for the operation and at every stage I was treated very professionally. On departure I was wished well on my journey home by the meet and greet gentleman who ensured that I had appropriate transport.

Excellent care and attention. Fast procedure. 1st eye cataract op better than 2nd eye. 1st op was with a more experienced surgeon. Not keen on loud radio type music. Felt as though it could be a distraction for the surgeon. When she came to sign papers before the op. She was finishing chewing something....didn't seem very professional.

What can I say that no one else has said. From the welcoming to the operation the people here at Skelmersdale couldn’t do enough for you. No stupid question by me was left unanswered and all the information given was spot on. The operation took about 30 minutes in my case but all went well. The discharge information was clear and informative and the take home information reiterated what was said at discharge. The after care booklet is a perfect guide to looking and caring for your eye after surgery just what I needed because after surgery I was feeling sorry for myself and did miss some of the information at discharge. SpaMedica have made sure you looked after from pre assessment through the surgery down to the aftercare perfect. Thanks to everyone at Skelmersdale’s Samedica

Cataract procedure on 18th June - friendly welcome and efficient procedure in preliminary stages. A bit of a wait for the surgery but this may have been to allow the initial drops to work. Surgery was OK - brief and effective. Post surgery - clear instructions and then a coffee and biscuits. Impressed by the willingness of reception staff to phone my daughter to say I was "ready" to collect. Post-procedure : symptoms were as warned about but by day after there was distinct improvement and 2 days after (today) I wore old vari-focal specs and the improvement was dramatic and clear. Many thanks. Looking forward (sort of !) to the other eye being done in the same place in the future

Overall experience was modern, clean, light and airy. The whole feel was of complete calm. The staff, in fact the whole team, were very efficient, friendly & informative, at my assessment. The day of my procedure, felt exactly the same, from start to finish. The expertise of the Surgeon, made me feel very relaxed, that I was in safe hands. I would whole heartedly recommend this practise.

two cataract ops in last 6 weeks ,staff all very friendly and professional , patients welfare seemed top priority .never hurried but always being looked after , I will recommend this site to any of my friends who need surgery .well done SPA Bexhill.
