  1. Review titled This is the best service if you need help.

    by sagittariusqj83 - Posted on 16 January 2024

The service is welcoming. You never feel at ease, they will do everything in their power to make you feel at ease. This is the best service if you need help. I can't think of anyway to improve the service.

  2. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 December 2023

After being with cgl over the past few years I have found them to be useless. I have had more than 6 key workers and the amounts of times I have turned up and they are off sick or not available to see me was unacceptable. They seen to blame Me for not making progress but when your not getting the help you desperately want and need it's not surprising. It takes alot to admit you need help but cgl just made me feel worthless.

Hi, Firstly I would like to apologise for the experience you have had and how this has made you feel. My name is Chris Barnes and I work for Change Grow Live (CGL) as the national service user involvement lead. Through my role I listen to people using CGL services so that we can continually learn and improve what we do as an organisation. CGL provide a lot of services across the England and Scotland. Unfortunaly, from your feedback I am unable to identify which service you have used. I would really appreciate learning more about what has happened. With feedback we can make change to improve peoples experiences. My email address is chris.barnes@cgl.org.uk Thankyou

I've had nothing but positive experiences from CGL, they're brilliant. They've really helped with my addiction problems and I am very grateful. The people that work here are lovely, caring and understanding and I'm so glad I got involved with them. Thank you, I really feel I can beat these addictions.

    by liondy53 - Posted on 17 January 2024

The support here has been amazing, wish I would have found it sooner, everyone is supportive. I need this in my life. Showed me loads of support when I feel so alone and lost. Made me feel not alone like there is support. Just needed support and it makes me feel lighter.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by John barrow - Posted on 20 November 2023

I did a a saliva drug test today although it came back negative the opium line was really faint so I went to cgl and asked if they would do another test, after 5 minutes I "care" worker came out and declared they couldn't do it as my key worker was working from home.now I've been clean since July I asked my key worker to do weekly tests which he refused my family was insisting on this so I bought some of the internet so long story short I'm now homeless after today's test I know the faintest of lines is negative my family doesn't,now I'm homeless and can't see my grandson, thanks cgl really good job to lazy do a drugs test as cost me my family home and grandson I hope you're really proud of yourselfs just have a think about me when you go to bed if you had taken 10 minutes to help someone I wouldn't be wet through and sleeping rough for the foreseeable future absolutely shocking treatment no duty of care just didn't care about my situation

  8. Review titled Has been an absolute god send

by Mcbit - Posted on 04 January 2024

I found CGL very accommodating. I needed help with opiate addiction to an extent where I could return to work whilst still recovering. They fought hard to get me on buvidal program. This has been an absolute god send. My job requires I travel Europe for up to 3 weeks at a time. Having the freedom of a once monthly injection to curb all withdraw symptoms has allowed me to return to work full time. I am now living a full life again and cannot thank everyone at CGL enough

by Sorena - Posted on 27 October 2023

I had my first session on the Diversity in Recovery Programme at KIKit Pathways To Recovery. The first session has given me a new way to look at my addiction and the root causes of it. I believe it will help with me being able to stop long term

Dear Sorena Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Lydia and I work in the team at Change Grow Live Birmingham that is responsible for listening and responding to people's feedback. I am so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience at the Diversity in Recovery Programme that is run by Kikit, one of our valued partner organisations in Birmingham. It is so important that people are supported to be able to understand the reasons behind their addiction. Not having an insight into the root causes, can make recovering so much harder and I was really happy to read that this is something you have managed to gain. I will make sure that Mo, Kikit's Managing Director gets to read your feedback so he can share it with the team who deliver the Diversity in Recovery Programme, so that they too can learn about the positive impact their support has had on your recovery. I'm sure they will greatly appreciate your kind words. I hope that as you continue to engage in the Programme, you gain even more helpful and useful knowledge, that will help you to achieve your goal of stopping long term. If you believe in yourself, and stay committed to learning, I am sure you will make this a reality. Thank you again for sharing your experiences, and I wish you all the very best for the future. Take care, Lydia

  10. Review titled I'm feeling very positive about the future.

Congratulations on your incredible achievement of being 100 days cocaine-free! Your determination and positivity are inspiring! Keep in mind that recovery is a process, and it's normal to face challenges along the way. It's important to celebrate each day of sobriety as a significant victory, just like you're doing now. Please remember that you're not alone in this journey. Surround yourself with a support network of friends, family, or professionals who can provide guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear when needed. I highly recommend joining a local Cocaine's Anonymous meeting if you haven't already; it's a vast community of individuals who have likely been through similar struggles and are ready to offer their support and wisdom. Keep up the fantastic work, and take each day as another step towards a brighter, healthier future.
