    At the first appointment the visual field accessment was not part of the tests carried out , which meant another appointment just to do this .This was 3 months later. This was cancelled by Chec due to sickness of the person I was to see and no one else was available. New appointment 9th August also cancelled for the same reasons. New appointment on the 22nd September .Based on my previous experience , I have little confidence that this will actually happen. It will be 1 year since I bought new glasses from Specsavers, and no closer to resolving the fact that the lenses are not my prescription , giving me severe discomfort in my eyes. We wish to assure you we expect high standard care to be provided to all our patients, we value all feedback, and our patients are our utmost priority. We always try to limit cancellations whenever possible but there may be times when this is unavoidable due to staff sickness and other unexpected factors.     I turned up for my 1st appointment and after half an hour wait I was told my appointment had been cancelled. I left home for my 2nd appointment only to receive a phone call after I arrived at the town where my appointment was due to take place (a 22 mile round trip from home) to say it was cancelled and I would receive a telephone consultation at a particular time. More than an hour before the scheduled time, I was contacted about the consultation, which was not very convenient. All I was asked was what had I been referred for and which eye. I then made another appointment for a face to face consultation, only to receive a letter this morning stating I had recently been referred to CHEC. please make an appointment. If the NHS are paying CHEC for each call or letter CHEC make or send, what a complete waste of money. I am now really worried that when it comes to my treatment, will they have the right patient and notes and even the right consultant to carry out the procedure.

    Inefficient, uncaring, unhelpful and even directed a wheelchair user , assuring them that all clinics were wheelchair accessible, to a clinic with a 4 inch step and info on the site said it was not wheelchair accessible

    Everything went very well. I panicked at first but everyone was very accommodating and everything was explained so I immediately felt better. This was my second eye so I already knew what to expect.

    I had a cataract operation on my left eye 5 days ago. I was very impressed by the speed and professionalism of the procedure. After a couple of days the vision in the eye was markedly improved. I eagerly anticipate having my other eye treated.
