    During the summer, I received a course of six physiotherapy sessions post-op. This followed minor surgery, identical to that received in 2020, during lock down, when similar support was not obviously available. I found this to be of great benefit and support, especially the first session, which was more akin to a question and answer session, where my concerns were paitiently addressed by my physio. Over the following weeks, it was encouraging to see my recovery progress from earler sessions. The advice was fully explained, not condescending at all, and the monitoring was extremely beneficial. My sincere thanks to all involved in my surgery, from my GP, surgeon, ward and admin staff, to finally my physiotherapist. You are all truly appreciated.

    I needed to pursue acute pain in my hip. I completed the self-referral for Physio Connect, which was very efficient. The staff manning the phones to give me an appointment were very efficient, helpful, understanding and friendly. They listened to me. I was given an appointment quickly thereafter. The physio appointment was excellent in every respect. The physio was very attentive, clearly an expert in his field, gave me great advice and access to very useful exercises to follow. He was very supportive and explained the next steps very clearly. I could not be happier. Keep up the great work and thanks again for everything x

    Following issues with both my knees I was referred to Physiotherapy at Nye Bevan House. After examination I was given my first excercise plan. There was then follow up meetings to ensure improvements in my knees' conditions. This service was excellent and met all my needs. On top of a second and reduced excercise plan I also attended a Gentle Excercise Class at Rochdale Leisure Centre. This has resulted in not requiring knee supports and pain killers. I realize in the long term my knees may require possible medical attention however there has been a significant improvement in my mobility. Overall an excellent service.

    Very unhelpful. They put people’s health at risk. I have been misdiagnosed by them and prescribed exercises that worsened my condition - the exercises in my condition are not recommended. My Gp requested the orthopaedic review 3 times and the Connect Health failed to refer me to an orthopaedic clinic. After many difficult conversations with the Connect Health I was finally referred to a specialist who confirmed that the Connect Health in Oxford misdiagnosed me and were wrong about not referring me sooner. Now I am faced with a lesser chance of recovery because of all the wait. The majority of the staff are unprofessional and misinformed. Their processes are not working. I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to understand what was happening. I sometimes I had to speak to 4 different people to get an answer to a seemingly simple question. I feel let down by the NHS that they continue to commission this company to treat patients. I fear to think what happens to people who do not have the agency to speak up for themselves. All very stressful, disjointed and time consuming experience and a terrible example of the NHS funds being misspent. Please replace this service.

  6. Review titled Seems pointless and frustrating

    So far I've had two texts with links one to fill out a pre consultation questionnaire and one to leave them a review, not sure what they wanted me to review at this point. Neither links worked. Today 1.5 hours before my appointment i get a text canceling my appointment. I called them, to their credit they answered quickly. The lady explained that the links never work but they send them anyway. So after the amazing start I asked what they can actually do to help me and she was vague, very vague. It seems like you get refered just to generate them income without you actually getting any treatments.

We only cancel appointments as a last resort but on occasions when we have late notice appointments they are often due to clinician sickness which I am sure you can appreciate can not always be predicted.     Apart from having to travel some distance, the clinical experience was good. Automatic check-in at the clinic did not work. Appointment making is difficult - was told to ring the next day for follow on appointment but when I did I was told I had to call back several days later. The person I spoke to on the phone had such a strong accent that I had great difficulty in understanding him. Patient portal is supposed to be a way to make appointments but I wasn't able to do so for some unexplained reason. Finally, and this was partly my fault, though I understand others have made the same mistake, there are two health centres with very similar names in Banbury, It would have been helpful if the correct name had been emphasized when I was contacted with an appointment .

    After my 6th free session of physio on my shoulder I cannot say how beneficial it all has been. My Health Connect mentor was extremely helpful and patient. She never made me feel silly if I couldn't grasp how to use the gym equipment immediately. She has given me confidence to continue with the exercises at the gym on a pay as you go basis and has said if I need further help she's still approachable.

    After suffering with a meniscus injury I decided to self refer to Connect Health and it was one of the best decision I made. I have been in pain for a while and restricted movement in my knee. I started a physio course followed by a gym orogramme and due to my injury the improvement has been slow and gradual. I have noticed such a difference in terms of strength and movement and the staff have been extremely helpful and supportive throughout. From my first physio appointment to the end of the gym programme, they genuinely care and support with everything. Prior to my injury I had never stepped foot into a gym and I’ve now decided to become a member to help my with my overall health and recovery. Thank you to everyone for all your help!

    The physios were excellent and gave good informative advice for my issues, the exercises were achievable and very helpful. The service they offered was given in kindness, knowledgeable, informative and excellent delivery, easy to understand and the online help was easy to use from home.
