    I was referred by my GP as I am perimenopausal and was considering Mirena coil as an option. Made this clear during initial phone call and was booked in for an initial phone consult. The first appointment didn’t take place within the allotted time so I had to rebook. Another two weeks later when the call happened I was told MSI Choices do not deal with ‘women going through the change’. I was quite shocked that the euphemistic phrase ‘the change’ was used by a healthcare professional. I thought we’d moved on. The individual concerned had the best intentions I’m sure but I would have expected better from a service specialising in women’s reproductive health and am left feeling that I have had bad advice from my GP and from the initial interaction with MSI. This experience reinforces my fears and frustration about the failings in how women specific health is handled in this country when I had engaged proactively and in good faith. Please try to do better and understand that women do not cease to be women when their reproductive function diminishes or ceases. Overall, then, the current increase in discussion of the menopause clearly is not going far enough.

    The nurse on the phone was so nice especially and got me the treatment I need as soon as she could . I had the treatment at home with my partner where he could comfort me and I could rest in my own house .

    I honestly could not fault anything from my first appointment to my treatment. Every single member of staff treated me so well and made me feel so relaxed as I was so nervous at first. The surgeon and nurses were all so friendly and so kind to and really did look after me. I honestly can't thank them all enough for there tome patience and all round professionalism

    I'll start by saying that the wait times on the general phone lines are far too long, though I understand staff levels and busy periods can effect this However, the nurses I met in clinic were absolutely lovely, very friendly and caring. I also had to call the 24hour aftercare line and not only was able to talk to someone straight away, but the 2 nurses I spoke to during the night were absolute angels, they helped me through one of the most horrible experiences of my life and were so kind and reassuring. They also called me back to check up on me after. If it wasn't for them I would have probably ended up calling 999 so I am so grateful for their help

    The whole experience the ladies gave me completely changed my mindset before I spoke to them I was worried, I was scared, embarrassed I felt all kinds of mixed emotions but knew I was certain I wanted an abortion. I felt like the ladies I spoke to really cared they were really understanding and didn't make me feel worse than I already did infact the complete opposite. They made me feel like I wasn't alone. I used the telemedicine service at home. I'm really grateful that I was able to do it at home as I live in a remote area. You can choose what time you do it and are comfortable in your own surroundings I felt strongly prepared by the team. Everything went as planned and no problems. Thank you for making one of the hardest things to deal with bearable. I honestly can not thank you enough.

    I found the service very easy to access and quick to speak with someone. I found everyone to be incredibly kind, compassionate and understanding and really appreciated their support and professionalism through what was a really difficult experience for me. I greatly valued knowing there was someone to reach out to with questions or concerns 24/7 and am incredibly grateful for their support and guidance through this process.

    I fell pregnant and couldn’t talk to anyone (family/boyfriend) I was very nervous of this and getting an abortion alone, from the beginning having the phone call to the appointment, the doctors / nurses have been nothing but kind and helpful, and made this experience not at all traumatic, she made sure I was comfortable and didn’t have to see the scan and explained everything perfectly. Thank you so much!

    I had a termination booked for Monday but received a call today (Friday) and they explained my appointment was cancelled due to my medical history, which I had told them about a week prior. They had a week to look at my notes and decide if it were safe to go ahead. Now the termination is delayed further which is giving me anxiety. To top it off, I was told that if I was not contacted to make a new appointment, I should call them back. So that means there is a possibility this will be delayed even further. I’m actually scared at this point.

    I was due to have a vasectomy in October 2022 after waiting 4 months. My pre-op phone appointment was cancelled and rescheduled twice. I then cleared my calendar for the procedure and also for the recovery period after. My appointment was then cancelled at 4pm on the day before it was due to take place. I called and spoke to someone who said that there was no prospect of any appointments in the near future and I will be contacted when one becomes available. I received notification on 16 November that an appointment had been made for me on 24 January. I then received a notification on 17 November (One day later) that due to a booking error that appointment was now cancelled and I have been booked on the next available appointment which is 9 May 2023. Total shambles.
