I saw the orthopaedic consultant at the One Health facility in Chesterfield. I had previously seen him at Chesterfield Hospital. He was thorough and professional, explaining to me what needed to be done and answering all my questions. I opted to be dealt with via One Health as an NHS patient and he took me through the process. He said that his secretary would telephone me to confirm the details and and he did so before I had got home. The consultation and the follow up were very reassuring.

I had a 'total hip replacement' operation at the Thornbury Hospital on 26th July 2023. I was naturally somewhat apprehensive about this as it was a first for me and, although now a common procedure, is still regarded as major surgery with all the attendant risks. I must say, however, that from the time that I entered the hospital at 0700 on the 26th to being discharged at about 1630 on the 28th I received nothing but kindness and consideration from all the staff that I met. They were universally efficient and my room and all other areas of the hospital were comfortable and clean. As a bonus the food was good, better than many a posh restaurant. Although having a new hip could never be put in the category of 'a fun thing to do', if you do need one, and I certainly did, I would highly recommend Thornbury as the best place around to have it done!

My GP arranged for me to go down the One Health route and from beginning to end I couldn't recommend them highly enough. First consultation with the Surgeon was at my local surgery, I was kept informed the whole way through, so reassuring in circumstances like this. The operation, follow up physio and consultations were all arranged and kept. Hospital staff were all helpful and kind. So pleased with the outcome. Wouldn't hesitate to use One Health again if it was offered.

The care and attention I received before and after my surgery was incredible. I felt I was totally involved with every aspect of the whole procedure. The complete team that cared for me were very friendly and informative making the time spent there more bearable.

Having been waiting on the nhs for partial knee replacement for a long period due to the back log I was referred to the One Health Group. I was very quickly appointed a consultant/surgeon. My consultant was absolutely brilliant from the first consultation through to having surgery and follow on appointments. One Health Group as a collective I cannot fault from the admin staff, consultant and physio are all top notch with only your interest at the fore. I did read some reviews before hand about ohg which were quite negative about being nhs patients referred and not being treated the same as paying clients. At no point was this the case for me as at every stage the team couldn’t do enough for me. Now three months post Op I couldn’t be happier rehab is going well. I would highly recommend ohg and would definitely choose them again for any further surgery.

I had surgery for a hernia repair at The Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. I feel very fortunate to have been seen there as the whole experience from start to finish was very positive. As a result my recovery was very quick and problem free. The staff across the board were outstanding: friendly, professional and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital.

All staff that I have been in contact with throughout my referral (nurses, health care support workers, radiologists, surgeon, receptionists, porters) have been so kind, caring, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. I felt listened to and understood by the surgeon and his supporting staff. All appointments and investigations have been booked and completed in a timely manner across a variety of different hospital/clinic settings.
