    This company have been reported to the local safeguarding board as their rep was overheard by a fellow resident pressuring a vulnerable lady to buy 2 pairs of glasses. The lady concerned is very clearly disabled with communication difficulties. By the time it was reported to staff the lady had already paid £600. Falls nothing short of abuse!

    I am very concerned for my elderly friend who wanted to book an eye test but ended up with a call about a private audiology test. I can see that this company has sourced my friend’s data from Sagacity Data Ltd, not the NHS as their letter makes it look. I think the NHS should check this company’s ethics and business model before allowing them to use their logo as it is the NHS logo that people trust. I only found out by being here when she received a call from them. I have booked her a sight test at her local optometrist instead.

The private audiology service you mentioned is a service we offer alongside our eye care services, and we regret any misunderstanding this may have caused and appreciate that you’ve already arranged for her to be seen by her local optometrist.     Appointment made for 26/9/24 at my Mums care home for an eye test. Care home let me know that the optician never turned up for that appointment. Passed from pillar to post on the phone, was promised a swift call back, which didn’t happen either. Should have gone to Specsavers

    They did not turn up again yesterday. I sat for 4 hours with my mum, waiting. Then had telephone call from a lady saying not coming. The same thing happened last year. We had decided to give them another try this year, but will not be using them again. I asked for manager to call me, instead they just sent another appointment through which I will be cancelling. NHS should not be endorsing this company. Having home eye tests are supposed to make it easier for vunerable elderly people. Their glasses are also very expensive.

    Absolute rip off company and would not recommend them to anyone. Take advantage of pensioners in their own home. Who do not fully understand what is going on. Appointment was supposed to be 24/09/2024 and they arrived a week early saying they had nothing on so just thought they would turn up. I actually attend all appointments with my in Laws and was not advised of this change. My in laws are now feeling that they have been ripped off.

    Cold called my dad who is 99 years old, arrived next day. My dad told them on intercom he didn’t want to see them but somehow a guy by passed this and entered my dad’s home without permission stating “You were okay about it yesterday”. He left but now dad has had a letter saying someone is attending again with a qr code to scan if he wants to cancel. As if dad can do that. Just run the chairman through companies house. Speaks for itself.

    I booked a vision appt for my mother (90) which I understood was for an eye health check not for an eye test where she would be ordering new glasses. I was assured the Optician would call me prior to arriving at her house so I could discuss the appointment and I also received a text confirming that they would call. I heard nothing so phoned my mother who said he’d already been and she’d placed an order for specs and a magnifier for £338. I have power of attorney so was very shocked to find she’d paid the Optician with her card and had not contacted me. My mother sounds articulate and confident but she has memory problems and a degree of dementia- just like a previous review left on here. I immediately cancelled the sale and asked for an explanation of why the Optician did not call me as I was advised they would. I’m waiting for the explanation . My mother does not need expensive frames as she loses her glasses or regularly falls asleep wearing them and bends the frame. It’s worrying that vulnerable, elderly people are talked into easily parting with their money and I am quite shocked that this appointment was taken up by myself on behalf of my mother for an eye health check. She has her own local optician she can contact for her usual eye tests.

    Do not use this company. They rip you off. They rip off the elderly.98yr old home visit The eye test is not comprehensive. Payment is taken in full and the glasses arrive in the post. Glasses were £230 per pair!! Specsavers for the same frame £70 buy one pair get one free!!

    I had treatment from a charming young man who seemed extremely well qualified and knowledgeable. I felt reassured immediately that I was going to have the best of treatment which in the event I did have. He is a credit to your firm and I wish him every god fortune.

    Had a hearing test at home which was much better than going to a shop. More relaxing and more time to ask questions. The hearing aids I was prescribed are amazing and I got them on the day of the test, no having to wait as you do when you visit a shop. I always said I didn't need hearing aids but these are incredible. I'm now hearing things I didn’t realise I'd missed. I'm usually very hard to please but the home visit and the aftercare service I've received have left me very impressed.
