Review titled Unhelpful
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by West - Posted on 27 June 2024
111 themselves were fine but the clinician they referred me to was not. She barely discussed my 2 year old's symptoms, just why was I bothering them during the day when my GP practice was open. I explained that I wanted to speak to someone here and now, instead of being on hold for an hour just to be told there aren't any appointments and to try again tomorrow. This is what we were discussing instead of what help was available for my 2 year old son. I would like to add that I did ring my GP practice after this to be told there were no available appointments. The only advice I was given was the link 111 sent me through my phone. Extremely disappointed.

Visited Devizes Surgical Centre for a Gastroscope and was extremely impressed with the whole process, from the greeting on arrival to the excellent care provided by the medical team.

Review titled Just so rude and unhelpful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jack - Posted on 03 April 2024
Wouldn't listen to what I was saying. Filled out the form that I already filled out even though I kept telling her. Sounder really not bothered and a really sarcastic and rude tone. Then rushed me off as soon as she could. First experience using this service and I see why so many people think its a joke.

Review titled Awful experience, can’t book an appointment.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ben Fletcher - Posted on 15 April 2024
I have attempted to book an appointment with practice plus 4 times in the last few months and have been unsuccessful when getting there to actually have the appointment. Feb 2024- I had booked time off work to come to the original appointment (check up) and had arrived 10 mins early. I do not live locally so it takes me an hour to drive in and a large cost of petrol. I was waiting around an hour to then be told they were running late and behind schedule. I waited an 1 hour and 30 minutes until I finally had to leave to go back to work so they re-arranged the appointment. March 2024- as it was so early in the morning on a Saturday with heavy traffic, struggled to get to the appointment on time. I arrived 10 minutes late for them to say it had been marked as a no show and they would need to re-arrange. I asked what the maximum time was to be allowed late to be marked as a no show and they said 10 minutes but why they think it’s acceptable to keep me waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes and they can’t be flexible for a few minutes is appalling. April 2024- I have arrived today at my appointment on time which I was told had been booked for the 15th of April but have been told it had actually been booked for the 13th of April was was missed. I am furious as not only have been told the wrong date for appointment, I received no reminders or contact of any kind to say my appointment had been missed or confirming the date so only had the card and the receptionist word to go off of and have wasted yet another trip and petrol down here. I always put the appointment time and date in my calendar when I’m there so I can’t believe this was my error and they clearly got it wrong and advised me the incorrect date. May 2024- the appointment has been rebooked in may and they’ve given me a date/time with a card so hopefully this one actually goes ahead.

Review titled Barlborough hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by gwen - Posted on 23 March 2024
I initially went to have a private consultation with my assigned consultant. I arrive at the hospital and was checked in by the awsome reception staff. Shortly after greeted by the consultant himself whom sent for xrays where the staff member there was so nice and professional. I had my consultation once the consultant received my xrays. The consultation went very and I felt listen to and respected once in a long time. The outcome means an operation and everything explained very well. Thankyou to all the staff at Barlborough practice hospital group. Hope to be there soon for my surgery.

Review titled Great Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ann Everatt - Posted on 31 March 2024
Phoned for my mum today and spoke to a nice advisor after only waiting for less than five minutes. Clinican called within less than 2 hours which I never expected so fast. He was so professional and understanding of my mums situation. He arranged for a GP home visit which all took place within 5 hours this was exceptional service as I thought it would be a lot longer being Easter Weekend. Thank you 111 this a great service and keep up the great work you deliver.

Review titled Wait time unacceptable
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called 111 for dental advice/appointment. 1hr 30 mins to get through to a call handler. How do the NHS find this an acceptable way to treat patients, this system is appalling.

Review titled Outstanding service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Rang for advice about my 1 year old on a Saturday night, the operator was clear, calm and reassuring. Had a GP call back within 10 minutes (after being told it could be a 6 hr wait). He was equally brilliant, we were prescribed antibiotics and were supported in finding the closes, open pharmacy. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I am still waiting for a call back after 10 hours. It is for my 3 years old daughter. She has not eaten anything for 24 hours.
