I rang my GP due to having an ulcer on my eyeball. They sent me a link to the primary eye care website with a list of opticians who I can see. 1 wasn't working that day, 2 didn't answer and the other 2 in my area refused to see me under the NHS because I wear contact lenses and told me to contact my lens provider for a private appointment. Why aren't contact lens wearers eligible for NHS services? My doctors have confirmed we are and have ended up arranging a GP appointment instead - which negates the purpose of this service!

Very informative and helpful. I had a phone consultation the same day as I telephoned. It was easy to upload photographs for them to see and put my mind at rest.

Following a severe bleed in my right eye I was directed by my medical group to the Primary Eye Care Centre. The response I received from them was most speedy, helpful and fully supportive. Eye issues are always of great concern to patients and following my communication with Pec I have full confidence the condition will self resolve with time and also that Pec will support me further if it became necessary. Thank you to Pec and Nat Health.

I telephoned the Primary Eye Service on the advice of my GP surgery. The Optometrist was very professional and knowledgeable and listened to my description of symptoms. I also sent photos of my eyes. She took a history and looked at the photos and explained that I needed antibiotics and sent the details to my GP surgery. The prescription was sent through to the pharmacy and I collected them in the afternoon and began taking them. Very efficient, professional service, thank you!
