Going to eccleshill treatment centre for a endoscopy or colonoscopy procedure may sound daunting, I can only give you my experience. No pain, completed in a very short time and as I stated very professional and friendly staff.

Came for a colonoscopy and was left in a room for 1.5 hours on my own. Another patient came in and said his appointment was at the same time as mine but as soon as he sat down they came for him. The procedure was extremely painful and I had to call a stop to it. All in all a very bad experience.

Dear Mr Dennett. I am sorry to learn of your disappointment of our service. This is not what we would have wanted for you. It sounds like we could have communicated with you better on the day to explain any delays. Our appointment letter states to expect up to 2hrs for the visit in its entirety. This is because although we have an average/expected time for each procedure some can take longer, and some are quicker, depending on their complexity. I appreciate that it can be an anxious time waiting for the procedure however we do need to prepare patients and ensure they are ready for their allocated slot. Unfortunately, it is an unknown situation until the actual day and we can run on time right up to the patient that needs longer and then all is delayed. We also have 3 theatres so will have 3 patients booked at the same time throughout the day. Patients will however be called in at slightly different times depending on how each list is going. I hope this better explains why you had the experience that you did on this occasion. Thank you for your feedback. We will as a result speak to staff to remind them to keep patients informed of any delays. Julie Winterbottom, Director.

I had a prebooked phone consultation at 8am on a Saturday morning. I was at my phone by 7:30am, 8 o'clock came and went and there was no call, at 8:35 I received a text saying I had missed the call and they would try again in 30 minutes. At first I thought maybe there was a problem with my phone so I got someone to call it, it worked fine. Then it got to just after 9am and I received yet another message saying I had missed the call again and that I had to call the number in the message to rebook. I hadn't received a single phone call. Either they tried calling the wrong number or they didn't actually try calling at all. I tried to call the number provided in the message so I could get this all sorted, however, when I did it just said the number was not available and to try again later. This is not what I would call good service at all.

I attended for an Endoscopy on the 08/11/2024, having previously attended the hearing clinic which had always been great. I am delighted to say that my experience on the day was the same, great. The medical team on duty were, fantastic!! from start to finish, in every way, approachable, friendly, giving help and guidance through each stage of my visit and most attentive without exception. I have no hesitation in recommending Westcliffe Health Innovations to anyone being offered an appointment to attend.

The letter I received requiring me to attend a location I would find difficult to access telling me I require plastic surgery for a lesion that has been sampled but no results furnished is not good patient care and fills me with doubt and uncertainty.

I was referred for a endoscopy after stomach issues by my GP, all the staff were amazing, they really calmed my nerves and answered any questions I had, the procedure was over in 5 mins and I never felt a thing, such lovely members of staff everyone of them

I attended the centre as I was fast tracked for an endoscopy. The staff were kind and polite from the very first phone call. I had a short wait for my procedure but this was understandable because the centre was very busy. Once I was seen the nurses and the consultant were excellent. I was rather nervous but everybody I met explained everything well in a reassuring way. The procedure went well and I was even given tea and biscuits in recovery. Thank you for helping with my nerves and treating me with such skill, care and respect.

Had a small plastic surgery procedure that has been waiting to be carried out by my GP or hospital for two years. This morning the procedure was explained by the surgeon before being carried out and all was completed in 45min with excellent efficiency. Thank you to all staff involved.
