    After waiting for a considerable amount of time to get my prescription, I was charged the wrong amount and received a very rude phone call from the pharmacist demanding I go back in and pay. I explained that I work until after 6 when the pharmacy closest, to which I received a very patronising response about whether I had understood what he had said. I asked if I could pay over the phone, which he couldn't. I pointed out that no one mentioned this while I was there and was told that staff were 'learning'. Will be looking at changing where my prescriptions are sent to, and am still shocked by such unprofessional service. I can forgive the incompetence, as mistakes happen, but not the aftermath.

    Apologies, the previous review entitled 'Incompetent' was written in regards to the Fylde branch not the Wigan branch. Unfortunately the NHS website does not appear to give an option to edit this.

    Unable to respond correctly as we are not aware which pharmacy this relates to - we have several pharmacies in this area and the person complaining has not identified the pharmacy in question. After reading your first submission I would like to apologise for the level of service you received and the attitude of the staff members who contacted you.     I visited Cheetham hill branch first time and customer service was so good specially the hijabi girl in the counter laraib provide extraordinary service.

    I needed to refer a matter to the pharmacist concerning a private matter and when the assistant spoke to her, the pharmacist then spoke loudly across the barrier to me. There was no face to face discussion as the barrier is so high I couldn’t even see her and she didn’t bother coming to the counter. She asked me for my condition and name of medication I was on - at what point did she think that this information was ok for everyone to hear?!

    They are always giving us the prescription with items missing and take over a week to make up prescriptions sent over by the doctor. When challenged over receiving the prescription and having a month supply missing for 3 different medications we were called liars. the whole chemist is a mess and there is no way they have any idea of stock levels as medications not stored away properly.

    Today, I had taken my son to visit the Doctor, who prescribed him amoxicillin. This is probably the 2nd or 3rd time that I have visited this chemist, because its local and literally round the corner from my home. However, every time I have gone into the chemist with a prescription, I always get told that there isn't anything in stock, with no guarantee that it will be in later that day or tomorrow etc. I understand this is a very small chemist in comparison to others across the area but I am not having that they don't have the medicine in the shop. This isn't the fault of the staff but this does need to be addressed and needs to be rectified.

Sometimes medication does go on the shortage list and we can struggle to obtain the quantities required by patients but this should be effectively communicated to our patients and I am sorry if this has not been the case.     I require medication for my diabetes every month. Last month I ordered my repeats and two weeks later it had just been processed. I thought this was bad but then this happened. This month I ordered it three weeks ago and it still hadn’t been processed when I went into the pharmacist. The medication is my lifeline and due to the incompetence of this chemist I’m having to rely on doing finger blood tests rather than using my sensor while I wait for them to sort out my ‘lost prescription’. A suggestion of going to another branch is unsatisfactory and not a solution. I strongly recommend anybody reading this post switches pharmacy. I will be in due course but will wait to see how soon my present prescription (ordered on 6 November) takes to arrive. I will post an update. A truly appalling service!

    Hi, Visited chemist on Wed. 11/10/23 and received the best pharmacy experience ever and I am near 80 yrs of age. Pharmacy staff are courteous, efficient and helpful. The pharmacist is outstanding on every professional level 5/5. Thank you. J

    Without any explanation or apology, this pharmacy is no longer delivering medication. When I called my local chemist all I got was a shrug of the shoulders with an attitude of take it or leave it.

    Thank you for your feedback. We have unfortunately had to review the criteria for our delivery service so we can continue to offer a free delivery service for the patients that most need it. We are asking patient to discuss their circumstances with the team so they can ascertain of they meet the new criteria. Each patient will be reviewed on a one to basis.   10. Review titled Sent only half my prescription.

    Sent only one month's supply of my prescription instead of two. When I went back to them they flatly refused to believe me and claimed that 2 months supply had been sent. They would not make up the shortfall, so I am now left without my prescribed drugs for a month.

Pharmacies have robust process in place so they can account for medication dispensed to patients - I am very sorry you have been left short of medication and that the pharmacy feels that they have dispesended it correctly to you. If you want this issue investigated I would recommend you call the pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmacist manager who I am sure would be more than happy to talk to you about this issue, you could discuss with them conducting an investigation into this issue for you - with limited details in your feedback I am unable to assist further unfortunately. If you are not happy talking to the pharmacy you could contact our head office on 01204 473100 option 7. I would suggest if you are short of medication until this is resolved, speak to your GP and ask them to write another script to cover your shortfall. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
