Review titled Not happy
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Jacqueline Grimley - Posted on 07 August 2023
Wanted to speak to the pharmacist the person serving asked what it was about to which I replied I'd just like to talk to the pharmacist please she then said I had to tell her first. This has never happened before when I have requested to speak to the pharmacist they usually just get them. I know they are trained to answer some questions but if a customer requests to speak to the actual pharmacist surely we shouldn't be questioned if we choose not to be . As I said this is the first time it has happened I don't know if the person serving was new as I haven't come across her before and I do use the pharmacy quite regularly and I've never had a problem with the staff they are all very friendly and helpful. I will just add that the person who served me was not rude just adamant I couldn't speak to the pharmacist until I'd told her first Thanking you in anticipation. Jacqueline Grimley

Review titled Inability to get prescription
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Stephanie Chapman - Posted on 10 August 2023
I have Tesco. Huddersfield Road, Oldham as my nominated pharmacy and for the last 3 times my prescription has been sent them by my GP for my 3 inhalers they never have them in, they say oh we have ordered them but they haven’t come in, the day after us the same. They got my prescription on Tuesday and have said hopefully we might have them by 5.00 tomorrow. This is totally unacceptable as they are inhalers for my acute asthma and I’m due to run out on Sunday, so how much longer am I supposed to wait.

Review titled Unreliable and inefficient chemist

I have visited Tesco pharmacy on numerous occasions and have been dissatisfied every time. The recent occasion the staff was so rude, the waiting time for the Perscription was a longer wait than the doctor’s appointment. Only to be told they didn’t have some of the Perscription. A whole day was wasted that my daughter could have been taking her steroids for bites she had. What worries me is the lack of urgency, someone one day will go in and need urgent medication and they will be dealt with by the uncaring, unhelpful and extremely rude staff, and they could go without their medication, which could end worryingly. I understand they are busy but they should be more caring and more understanding. This needs to be addressed as if you look at reviews on google they all read the same.

Review titled Bad customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5

I get my repeat prescription digitally sent there from my doctor every month and every time I wait around 20 minutes or more. Today I was the only one there with 6 working behind in the medicine part and was still told to go back in 15 minutes, I went back and waited another 10 minutes, other people got served and went while I was made to wait, then when she finally arrived with my medication I was told to sign the slip, I am a pensioner which she will have seen plus my date of birth is on the prescription, I said why am I having to sign this as I am a pensioner and was told every one has to sign them, No one else had to sign theirs and they were all many years younger than myself, I was there long enough to see that which meant I was singled out, I am absolutely fuming, she just smirked as I signed it and the customer next to me was as stunned as I was. I have put up with hours of waiting patiently for my medications there over the years but no more after this insult today, I will find a different pharmacy to have my medications sent to when I am finished this, I was totally singled out, she may have found it amusing but I certainly do not, that was ageism pure and simple, they want us customers to be nice to them yet they can treat us with such disrespect, I will never advise anyone to go there, especially elderly ones who do not need to be made to feel as low as I was made to feel today. We pensioners have free unsigned prescriptions automatically and they need to be reminded of that. Absolute disgrace.

NHS re-directed me to them for emergency prescription but to ring first. Tesco never answer the phone. How can they offer an emergency service if they wont answer the phone. Need to speak to them to see if product in stock before driving there. Very poor.

Review titled A specific complaint about Andover tesco pharmacy!
Rated 1 star out of 5

This pharmacy has many faults! They are rude and inpatient, possibly due to never having enough staff! They are extremely slow, never have much stock and you will que for a minimum of 20 mins even if it’s only 1 or 2 people in front of you! Now the most infuriating thing, if you decide to be pro active to phone them to check if they have stock of your specific medication or prescription..They never answer the phone!!!! All in all the only pharmacy In Andover I will always avoid unless I have absolutely no choice!!!

Was told to go back an hour later to get my medication as they are under staffed. This is not a professional way to run a pharmacy. If they can't help the patients then they should not have a pharmacy on site. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I will now change where I pick up my prescription from as this is totally unacceptable.

When into tesco pharmacy cirencester on Sunday inside of the opening hours to pick my med up after beening in there for the past two night before to try and get them , all to be told I'm not aloud my med because there is no staff and its up to them when I'm aloud my med, which I've order over a week ago. I also said I'm out of medication am I going tobe able to get it today and got told try in an hour but I doubtful if I'm getting alone. In my opinion the most unhelpful people I've ever dealt with.

Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kim Tomassi - Posted on 20 July 2023
Went to pharmacy yesterday and found out st. Peters hadn’t sent prescription through. Tried phoning the pharmacy the rest of the afternoon and evening but no answer. Tried again this morning still no response. Went to see if they had my medication today which they did but when I asked why they don’t pick the phone up the reply was we are too busy even though there was a lot of staff in the back and the queue was very long. This is a disgusting service to provide it needs to be sorted out. Something terrible has happened since Covid and it needs to change.

Could not get through on phone; no one answered or engaged. Then told they couldn’t send out text to everyone to tell them their prescription was ready. Prescription ordered Monday now Friday. All this went on as the young lady was talking to her friend about her social media status and account. She was talking more to her colleagues than me so made it difficult to understand. Off hand, disinterested and no words like sorry, please or thank you were used. Shall not be using tesco pharmacy again in Haslingden
