Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Malcolm Richardson - Posted on 05 April 2024
Tried all afternoon to call, think once again left of the hook, this morning was told rest of prescription due in between 11-12 and would message me, its now 16,30 and impossible to contact, one medication run out two days ago, not the fist time, and pointless going there again if its not in, very poor service, complained before but doesnt seem to make a difference?

by Carol ross - Posted on 18 April 2024
Went to pick my blister packs up the girl behind the counter said they are not ready and said when do they run out . I told her today I got none left then she said to me well you can have them in boxes because we are not doing them anymore. I told her that not good enough as I have osteoarthritis in my hand and I can’t keep up with when I should be taking them that why the doctor put me on them

Review titled Horrible service, yet again
by Dorte Jespersen - Posted on 14 April 2024
Tesco pharmacy in Whitstable has yet again managed to leave me with a bad impression. I came to collect my medication - as so often before - they did not have it all. They couldn't provide me with Co-codamol. But the lady told me it was okay, as I also had paracetamol. There is a reason I have both. It does not work for me to just be without one kind of medication as the other works in similar ways. Expected time for delivery.. maybe 3 to 4 days but they did not know for sure. However, they did have some that I could buy over the counter! I have a prepayment plan for my medication so I have already paid for it. When asked if they could then not just take those of the prescription was a little laugh and 'No, of course not'. So, I have just paid twice for the same medication. Needless to say, that I will no be going back. Previously, they have left me short of medication for weeks. I kept coming back in to collect it but it was not in stock. Finally, it was then back in stock after 6 weeks. But I could then not have it as it had been too long?! Horrible experience every time. Today was the final straw and I have changed pharmacy.

Review titled Horrible Place
Rated 1 star out of 5
by John - Posted on 19 April 2024
On the 19th of April 2024, I experienced exceptionally poor customer service at the Tesco pharmacy in Parrs Wood. The staff member assisting me was rude and unhelpful. When I inquired about the status of my prescription, they dismissively stated it would take 10-15 minutes. Upon expressing my frustration with a sigh, the staff member responded sarcastically and rudely. I confronted them about their attitude, which only escalated the situation further. Feeling disrespected, I sought assistance from another colleague and requested to speak with the manager. Shockingly, the colleague refused to provide any complaint channel and instructed me to return on Monday. Throughout this ordeal, the staff member continued to converse with the rude individual, demonstrating a lack of professionalism and empathy. This experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the importance of providing compassionate care in the field of pharmacy.

Review titled Terrible Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Following consultation with my GP, a prescription was sent electronically to Tesco Pharmacy in Grimsby. We attempted to collect this several hours later only to be told it was on the system but "would take a couple of days". This is outrageous - this is not a repeat prescription, but one needed today following consultation with my GP. If I walked in, and handed a paper prescription over rather than it being sent electronically, would I still be told it would take two days?? I understand repeat prescriptions, where you still have some of the medication and you can plan the request, having a two day time frame but not "one off" prescriptions. I now need to request the Dr's to issue another prescription for me to collect in person tomorrow and lose a day of having the prescribed medication. The Pharmacy was not even busy, there was one customer other than myself. Absolutely appalling service.

Review titled Poor service indeed
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Keith - Posted on 12 April 2024
Our local Tesco inshore pharmacy in Coulby Newham Parkway Centre is so poor. They take up to a week to fulfill a repeat prescription issued from our GP surgery. I waited in line for 20 minutes to get my medication. Three staff plus the pharmacist were working but only one was serving customers. I was 9th in line. They then take a while thumbing through quite a few pending scripts to find mine based on the first letter of your surname - why not sub divided the alphabet so there are fewer to sift through? When you reach the front position they unbag your items and recheck them. For heaven sake check it before the customer and a long queue is waiting at the counter. It is not rocket science.

Review titled Keep saying supplier has no stock
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2024
My husband is prescribed insulin for his diabetes. Again last week they don't have any stock of the needles needed for the Lantus pens, and again there's no supplier stock. I had to go back twice more to get them. Yesterday, my husband visited the GP and was prescribed some strong Vitamin D tablets - none in store, and none at the suppliers so there was no chance of any soon. Had to take the prescription to another pharmacy, they had to be ordered but at least he'll get them today as they were in stock at the supplier.

Review titled Poor trearment
Rated 1 star out of 5

Waited 30 minutes to purchase optrex infected eye I am a 48 yr old qualified nurse (24 years) with an obvious infected eye … condition I suffer with frequently. I had a swollen eyelid, leaking and red eye! Refused to be given the eye drops as the pharmacist said it was not symptomatic of conjunctivitis. Although I explained I know my eyes and by tomorrow it will be even worse and likely to be in the other eye also. Still refused - may I add I was requesting an eye drop not morphine, Not an addictive drug!! I can buy this product in line but I wanted it to prevent worsening the condition elsewhere. She even had no alternative to offer me ( after waiting 30 minutes!!!) I have woken this morning… as I told the pharmacist ( being knowledgeable about my own eyes and a mature woman) with horrific conjunctivitis and now will lose £700 in earnings for the day!!! I’m am so cross about the treatment She needs to be aware as a medical professional that conjunctivitis comes in all forms , the fact all the symptoms I displayed yesterday was signs of eye infection. Had I been someone little informed and unaware of infections and my own body and medical history , perhaps I would understand the reluctance of offering me a £10 product But this was unprofessional, and as I repeat although I literally begged and explained the need for the medication , I am now unable to work today.

Review titled Never ready
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2024
Regardless as to when the prescription has been sent ie days hours etc they never have the prescription done, i went today at 7.17pm and was told it wouldnt be getting done as to return the following day in the afternoon. 40 mins is plenty of time to issue the medication, medication that is needed and was sent down with plenty of time in between. There was 3 staff in the pharmacy, that i saw. There was really no need to refuse to give me my medication, This happens every month. It takes 2 to 3 days after the gp has issued the prescription to me actually getting the medication and some times when i collect my fortnightly medication they say its an hr minimum wait and thats after iv given plenty of time before collecting. Tesco do better within the pharmacy, iv been there when your staff have refused to do insulin and prescribed baby milk. The pharmacy is letting the store down majorly.
