    I attended the Forrest Centre Breast Screening Service Department at Northampton Hospital and I cannot fault the service I have received. My mammogram was on time and I received an ultrasound scan shortly after. My whole appointment took 30 minutes. The Doctor and nurses were extremely professional, kind, caring, friendly and reassuring at a very stressful time. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout my appointment. I cannot thank them enough for the service that I have received today.

    Waiting for a fitting of my hearing aid appointment cancelled twice tried to explain to audiology my hearing aid is not working I need my new one.the response was rubbish useless service

    I was referred by my GP for an iron infusion. I booked in at reception and was told there was a 4 to 6 hour wait, (just paid £4+ for parking), I was not told this when booked in so was not prepared, no food,drink or book with me. 9 hours later I received my 30 minutes infusion. I was not an emergency, just needed simple predetermined treatment. There must be a better way of dealing with such treatment. The staff were great and where needed looked after me well. At 87 and not well , I could have done without being abandoned for nigh on 10 hours.

  4. Review titled Excellent care and attention in the Heart Centre at NGH

    Following a routine pacemaker check, a possible fault in the box was found which would need further analysis. Within a couple of days I received a call from the Heart centre to go in for a minor day procedure the following day. From arrival first thing in the morning to release in the early afternoon, the courtesy and empathy shown by the whole team was excellent. My designated nurse on the day was particularly informative and had a wonderful sense of humour. This was the first time I have had to use the NHS for an operational procedure for many, many years and I cannot praise those involved enough.

    No mid wives.mums maybe put at risk . Not enough midwives to cover. Inducing people and stopping and stopping after starting.Ques for breaking waters . Put in Watson ward for new mums in stead of pre labour / labour. Start stop. No communication or notes between nurses and docs. Too many student nurses on, not ready. Poor pass over between staff, days behind each other. No confidence vote. Told blame on goverment

    I arrived at around midday was booked in and seen within 2 hours, had scans and blood tests done and ready and waiting for review after about 4 hours. Absolutely no complaints. The doctor I had was wonderful and informative. I wasn't dying so I expected to wait and I was pleasantly surprised. Nurses were great as well.

    Took my 88yr old father for a scan in Integrated Surgery today. Greeted by the most surly rude receptionist who really upset him. Not the best start for him as he was nervous. The nurses however were great.

    1st appointment waited over an hour, left, rang in,rude to be kept waiting ,rang , got another app, kept waiting 1hr, rude to be kept waiting, rang Receptionist , explained, 15 min wait acceptable, 1 hr plus wait, rude, !!! ct scan dept get your act together, stop wasting time, and patents time, an appointment means correct time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Many thanks to the nurse that helped me today when I called the diabetic service with an issue concerning my son”s Insulin pump.I left a message on the answerphone , was called back really quickly and the issue resolved quickly and efficiently. I’m sorry I can’t remember your name but I am very thankful for your help today.
