Review titled Staff on reception rude and unhelpful
Rated 1 star out of 5

Staff on reception rude and unhelpful, waited 4.5hrs just to be seen, then more waiting, so many of the staff there are walking around with they coffee cups and not seeing patients till they want to… I will never be going back there.. Orsett Hospital minor injuries unit is a lot more professional and helpful!!!

Review titled X-Ray & Reception
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 March 2023
I attended the polyclinic last Wednesday for an x-ray. I queued up at reception for around 10 minutes to be told that their x-ray machine was broken. Out of common courtesy, it would have been far easier if there were notices or signs displayed at reception and at the entrance to the building clearly demonstrating this. Rather than a receptionist who has no interest stating it has nothing to do with her it is B H R Trust. Great patient care...Not!!

Review titled Rude, Unhelpful Staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2023
Upon arrival for an ultrasound appointment we waited at the reception desk in a queue. When we got to the front of the queue we were told that we needed to go to the first floor. After finding our way to an unmanned waiting area we waited to be seen. When we were eventually seen we were told we had missed the appointment. We explained that we had travelled to the poly clinic from the hospital having been discharged that day after over two weeks in the hospital. No empathy from the staff, just rudeness culminating in the door being literally closed in our face mid conversation. This episode has lift my wife who is already in a frail state very upset.

Review titled Poor communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 January 2023
I arrived this morning at the poly clinic at 07:30 and waiting for the clinic to open there was no communication on the door alerting patients there is no dr to prescribe medication. There was some really unwell patients waiting in the cold and it would have been helpful that this information was given to us so we could have made the decision to go home and call the hub but no we had to wait for your doors to open for us to get that information. Very poor and uncaring practice. Patients don’t want to come out in the cold maybe an idea would be that you should update your website with this important information for us as sick patients can try other means to get the help that we need.

I attended the clinic Sunday 08 January 2023 for a scan on the left shoulder( suspected rotor arm tear). I am in severe pain, after several follow up with my GP and them sending three emails to the hospital , we have still not received the result of the scan.

Review titled Medical staff surfing internet while patients waiting
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 January 2023
For once the waiting area was quite empty with only a few people waiting. The waiting time to see the triage nurse was still long and when i peeked in to ask whether i would be called, turns out she was surfing the internet all that time while patients were waiting to be seen. When i told this to reception staff, they just nodded and shrugged.

Review titled Shocking poor run clinic !
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ash - Posted on 04 December 2022
I went there after being directed by 111 with an ‘arrival’ time of 11:20am. The min I got in there it was absolutely chaos…. There was a 45 min queue just to register, that’s if you could figure where the line began. My experience then went from bad to worse …… I was in there for a total of 6 hours, saw 3 different health cares …. Each time told the wait won’t be that long now. I’m 20 weeks pregnant, nowhere available to get food resulting in me not being able to eat, my blood pressure was lowering and when asking the receptionist how long my wait would be she said I’m too busy to look. I then asked her if she could look after and she replied No…… I had to wait for the 1 doctor to come out to ask him to look for me as I felt worse now then I did when I came in. Rude receptionist, lack of accurate communication around wait times, no food facilities not even a vending machine……. All of which nothing to do with budget cuts just rudeness and poor organisation. I came in with an ear infection and all I needed was some antibiotics……. How can you think it’s acceptable for pregnant, elderly and young children to wait for 6 hours with no means to even eat.
