  1. Review titled Thank You

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patrick Dalton - Posted on 24 May 2023

If it was nt for the marvellous efficiency demonstrated by your staff ie both Doctors and reception my 89year father would have died. After passing blood into a sample tube they pulled out all the stops to get him admitted to the Urology dept at the Hallamshire. They diagnosed him with Sepsis of the blood. He almost died but by some miracle pulled through. The next day he was sat up in bed chatting with the nurses. If not for your staffs immediate response and prompt action we d be thinking about a funeral. This only happened around 4pm on Saturday last, 20th of May. I am eternally grateful for your superb service, and thank you all again for saving our dad. Kindest regards to you all Pat

I had to wait 3 hours and I ended up leaving because my name wasn’t being called and I hated it.I kept on crying and the people there were mean.

  3. Review titled Incompetent, inefficient, chaotic

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mother - Posted on 05 February 2023

Went with 8 year old child with special needs. Waited 3.5 hours, during which people who had just registered and triaged got seen. When challenged, they admitted that they had got the order wrong. We sat all that time in front of the clinic room of one practitioner who saw 2 patients in all that time. The triage nurse asked my son if 'he had come for mutism' as he was quiet (he has autism spectrum disorder and doesn't talk freely with strangers). She patronised me for not having 'treated a fever of 37.7' and not having told her that my son had vomited after a bout of cough. The practitioner whom we saw next didn't have a clue about his medical condition and again wouldn't listen to me about my son's nature and told me to not speak unless asked to!

  4. Review titled Chaotic, inefficient, incompetent

Rated 1 star out of 5

We waited 3.5 hours to see someone. We were outside one clinic room the whole time and the clinician saw 2 patients in 3.5 hours. Some people who had just walked in got called immediately after they’d been triaged. When asked, they admitted that they’d got the order wrong. The person we saw was clueless and when I was telling him about my child’s preferences, he told me not to speak unless he asked me to!

  5. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended with a painful abscess. I saw the triage nurse and then practice nurse. Both were professional, friendly and informative. I got antibiotics prescribed and dispensed. I can’t speak highly enough of the service I had from the moment I got to reception until I left. Thank you to all who helped me this evening

  6. Review titled Caring and friendly

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Frances Arnold - Posted on 09 January 2023

I had to bring my 10 year old son on the advice of 111 on a Sunday morning. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, in spite of it being very busy. They were kind and caring, putting my son at ease when they spoke to him, and I felt like his illness was properly investigated and considered - we weren't rushed at all. The wait time was advertised as 3.5 hours, but we were out in 2.5, which was a nice surprise! Thank you to all the staff working there on a very busy Sunday.

  7. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Went at 8am queue long given 2/3 hour wait time was triage then waited to see GP. Annoyingly couples ignored the sign about taking up patients space and didnt wear masks, the room was over flowing with people. When i got to see the GP she was thorough and very efficient excellent service. We need to be grateful that places like this are open as our own GP services are not fit for purpose anymore as impossible to see your own doctor!. These staff are doing a fantastic job we need to be grateful they haven't closed this service.

  8. Review titled Absolute disgrace of a place!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 December 2022

Waited 5 hours, with other patients walking in and getting seen almost immediately, others having appointments… how does that work when it’s supposed to be a walk-in centre. This place does not work on a first come basis.Avoid unless you are prepared for a very long wait!

  9. Review titled Horrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tereza - Posted on 01 December 2022

Would give zero if I could. Came in with an unbereable back pain (to the point that I can barely walk, unless I take painkillers every single day). Was attended by a nurse and was basically told I shouldn't be there, it's not anything to worry about and I can clearly move well (which was only thanks to the painkillers but they don't listen to you). She even asked me 'how do I expect you to help' ?! No compassion, no help given, no care, simply assumed I was lying and I was fine. I only went because the pain was strong as I obviously prefer to do other things than waiting hree hours and get no help in the end. Not how a proper medical care looks like.

  10. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the walk-in centre today after feeling unwell - from the minute I walked in to the department my experience was excellent (like a previous visit there). All the staff (the security guard, receptionists, health care assistant and doctor) were excellent. Their service was exemplary. The department was very clean and very well organised.
