I had 2 visits to Spamedica at Derby. On both occasions I was made to feel very much at ease by the very friendly staff. The Optometrist, as all the staff made me feel very much at ease and explained in detail the process which was to be undertaken. The laser treatment was painless as was the after effect. I was extremely happy with the service I received throughout the whole process. A big thank you to all the staff at Spamedica, Derby.

From being referred by the optician for cataract surgery my husband only waited 2 weeks for a pre-op assessment appointment & then had surgery the next day.Everything about the experience was superb. Clean, well managed clinic, professional, friendly & helpful staff. As my husband has profound hearing problems I was able to stay with him except in the theatre. The clinical team explained everything very clearly & the post -op information was comprehensive & easy to follow. I would unreservedley recommend this practice

My experience was of being very respectfully treated throughout my two visits. Staff were efficient and caring. The attention to patient comfort was welcome and offer of refreshment whilst waiting was most welcome. I very much appreciated meeting the consultant prior to the procedure. This all helped with making me feel assured that I was in “good hands”. Thank you Spa Medica

I had my first cataract surgery on 6/6 followed by the second eye on 11/7. The service, care and support were identical on each occasion and utterly without fault of any kind. On the telephone, at reception, with professionals and the surgeon, everything was the same - excellent. The speed of referral, appointment, assessment and surgery were amazing and now, two weeks after the second surgery I have excellent vision, am driving far better than before and can see much more in the dark than I have for almost three years.

They all said that it would be ok, and guess what, they were right! Every aspect of my first visit was more than just ok - it was brilliant!! Assessed 19 July, surgery 21 July - efficiency in action! Staff at every level cannot be faulted in their ability to reassure patients, and the facilities were excellent, and so clean. I'm sure I saw the same cleaner 4 times in the morning I was there!! Bring on the second operation!

I had my left eye done in june 2023,and my right eye at the end of july. Cannot fault the service or treatment, the staff from the top to the bottom were friendly and very polite would recomend to any one.

Every step is clearly explained by friendly staff, they put you at ease. The surgeon came to speak to me before theatre. Once again in theatre told what would be happening. Soon over. Saw nurse who explained about drops etc. Nice touch being offered drinks and biscuits.
