The service provided was excellent with a full explanation given to me at each stage, as to what was going to happen and why. All staff were friendly and courteous. My personal details were checked at each stage in terms of my name, date of birth and which eye was to be treated. I was offered drinks and biscuits several times while waiting for my turn.

Can’t praise this place enough, service fantastic and the staff are so helpful , made me feel at ease doctor came and introduced himself and went through everything with me , would definitely recommend thank you so much to all the staff absolutely amazing

I was amazed at how quickly I was seen. At both my initial appointment and subsequent surgical appointment I was dealt with promptly and all of the staff were professional and friendly. Altogether a very pleasant experience.

I had a cataract operation on my left eye on June twentieth this year and I was very happy with the results and the service provided.very pleasant and proficient staff all the way through my treatment

I was referred to SpaMedica by my optician as being the fastest means of having my cataract investigated. I was absolutely amazed by how quickly my pre-operative assessment was organised and how well organised and thorough the whole process was. This was however just the start, at that first appointment I was given a date for my surgery, just 7 days later. That surgery took place just yesterday and once again was an extremely well organised process and I was out of theatre approximately 90 minutes after registering. Every member of staff I encountered on both of my visits were friendly, extremely professional and informative, answering all of my questions in clear concise and totally understandable terminology. At no time did I feel unsure or intimidated by the process. The supporting literature given to me was and is very useful and serves as a great back up to the actual clinical staff.

After diagnosis of cataracts in both eyes, I was referred to SpaMedica for assessment which confirmed that surgery was necessary. Have had the procedure done on two different occasions I am able to say that from my experience the Derby clinic provides comprehensive and professional services. The staff, assessment team and the surgical teams give great care and confidence to patients. I am able to recommend anyone to SpaMedica should they need to go to a very good eye clinic. The surgery involved is done by very competent surgeons who, in my case, had many years of cataract surgeries providing quick and painless treatment for any patient. My optometrist very wisely recommended a service which can be proud of the way patients are treated from start to finish.

I had my pre assessment on 2nd June and was extremely nervous. The staff are amazing and professional in every way. They explained everything in detail and put me at ease. My operation on 6th June 4 days late everything was explained in detail by the staff. Before going into theatre the surgeon came to speak to me and explain what was going to happen. From going into theatre is was all over in less than 10 minutes. I was given a drink and biscuits before seeing the nurse to discuss my aftercare with drops and does and don'ts. All the staff go above and beyond. I am having my other eye done which I am not worried about having the procedure. The amazing result is that only 2 days later I can see clearly out of my operated eye. Thank you all for the excellent service you provide and especially the surgeon. Christine Butt

Brilliant facilities with friendly helpful staff, more like friends than nurses. Extremely clean environment and runs like clockwork, doesn't seem like a hospital but is a great practice.
