All the team and the whole service are outstanding from my revue to my operation date was only one week all the staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough to put me at ease the operation only lasted a few minutes and I never felt a thing

Amazing place, staff and clinicians. The place is spotless being cleaned what appears to be hourly. The staff are welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for them. Drinks and biscuits are provided on a regular basis although time spent in the waiting area is only a couple of hours overall for most appointments. My surgery was absolutely painless,10 minutes in theatre for my first and a gritty eye for about 5 or 6 hours after. The new lens took about 3 weeks to settle down before I was confident to drive. The second surgery was about the same length and the same gritty feeling, this time I had the complication of a bloodshot eye due to me being on blood thinners however they insisted on my returning a couple of days later to check on it, reassuring me that all was well after a thorough examination. On the day after my second operation I removed the pad that had covered my eye and was amazed at the clarity of vision, I had 20/20 vision and I was driving the same day albeit only locally. I've worn glasses for 70 years and I'm now seeing perfectly for the first time without glasses, I now see in full glorious colour not sepia tone. Thank you so much to all the staff at Spa for the service, the speed at which referrals are dealt with, the painless procedures, the after care and not forgetting the coffee lady as I call her who never seems to stop, no wonder she's not very tall now with all the walking she does. You've all made a old man very happy. God bless you all.

excellent service from doctors, nurses and everybody connected with my operation. I was terrified of the thought of an eye operation but was put at ease by all of the staff . Thank you

Excellent service from moment of arrival for assessment through to going home after surgery on my left eye done a few days after the assessment. So I look forward to having my right eye cataract operation as soon as I am allowed.

I was very pleased with Spa Medica at Derby.They were very nice when I got there I was offered a drink which was nice and the staff are very pleasant and helpful,They explain everything to you.

I can thoroughly recommend Spa Medica of Derby. From the moment you walk thru the door they are all so kind and helpful. The place is spotless. It is very busy so be prepared to wait in between the different stages of tests. My personal downside was the 9 week wait before the 2nd cataract was removed. Being very short-sighted I found it extremely difficult and lacked confidence to move about. I had hoped between Spa Medica and my optician they could have made it sooner. Also explained that I might need help during that period.

Feeling quite nervous on arrival…..fear of the unknown….immediately felt at ease with the friendliness of the staff. Superb treatment by all involved. All very efficient in each section. Would highly recommend.
