very nice staff they were very good, and experienced, i had very good service from them as i had my pac on the friday and had surgery on the tuesday the following week. the consultant and all the staff there on the tuesday were wonderful and very helpful.

I was exceptionally impressed with the service provided and the way this practice ran like clockwork, all the staff were very polite and reassuring along the way. I arrived for my appointment in April 2023 to have my first cataract operation which had caused we considerable stress worrying about it during the months i'd been waiting for the actual date. I was over the moon when within less that 1.5 hrs I was on my way home. No problems occurred during or after this surgery. I went back for my second cataract operation in June 2023 and the same could not be said for the way it all panned out. I arrived on time and most of the experience and procedures were all the same. However, there had been some delays with earlier patients on the day which caused surgery delays. This really should have been anticipated with lunch breaks required etc., some processes regarding drops etc really should have been delayed as by the time I had my surgery almost 3 hours later my pupil was not as dilated as it should have been. The Same surgeon performed both eye operations but his assistant was different on the second occasion. I have to say I was quite concerned when during the procedure these two people starting having what could only be described as a minor quarrel/disagreement of what was visible on the surgical devices they were using. I actually felt some discomfort during this second operation, whereas during the first one i felt nothing at all. Really pleased i had the better experience first, as i might not have wanted to go back for the second eye had it been the other way around. All in all i can't fault the end results. I've been back to my opticians for my final checkup and the verdict was they've done a great job. Keep up the good work SpaMedica but please remember patients are very nervous.

I have had nothing but kindness and reassurance from all the staff at Spamedica Derby. Everyone was extremely helpful and explained things at every turn. I am very grateful to everybody involved. My experience was very good. I am recovering very well, the instructions for this are very clear and precise.

Staff all very friendly and helpful. Appointment at 2.00pm for surgery and all done by 4.00pm. Full explanation of procedure and after care and what to expect in the days following surgery.

I was very impressed with the treatment I received on Monday. From the time I was referred by my optician to having the procedure was very quick. Everything was well organised on the day, staff were very friendly, they explained everything which put me at ease. The procedure was quick and was without pain, I am recovering well, everything seems very colourful, I would recommend people having it done.

Following surgery, my eyes now have near perfect vision which is incredible. The whole process was carefully and skilfully managed by all staff I came into contact with. At every stage I was fully informed so I knew what to expect. This has made a real difference to me and I am extremely grateful.

I arrived nervously wondering what to expect. I needn't have worried. The staff were very reassuring, and look after their patients. The service was brilliant, and everything explained. I will not be frightened when I have to have the cataract removed from the other eye in the future.
