My cataract was removed and my new lens fitted within 15 minutes with no pain or discomfort experienced. I followed the instructions for my post op actions to the letter and two weeks after my op my eye is as good as new. My thanks to SpaMedica personnel for their pre op care and post care advice and their brilliant care and attention in the lead up to and during my experience. Ten out of ten from me!!

.I had my cateract sorted in August. The staff was so friendly and put everyone at ease.I would definitely recommend Spa Medica to all my family and friends.

I can fully support all of the positive comments made before about this excellent facility. It goes to show what can be achieved when focus is applied to an issue such as cataract surgery. The facilities, staff and processing system was first class and has already improved my lifestyle tremendously. Hope you don't have to use this service, but if you do, you will not find better.

It was a pleasure to be greeted at the entrance to the clinic and guided to the next point of contact at 9:10 am , 10 mins earlier than the appointment time . The surroundings were pleasant and comfortable and endowed with refreshments . The waiting time was short before being invited to move through from reception to the pre-procedure waiting area cubicles . Once there refreshments were again offered . In the cubicle a plastic envelope containing pastime documents and pencil we’re waiting on a table . There were 4 other patients waiting to go into the theatre for the procedure , some of them managing to engage in conversation , I occupied myself with Sudoku on my phone . Since 3 of the patients had already gone into the theatre I decided to use the handy toilet facility in preparation for my procedure. Less than a minute later I was escorted through to the next room for administering the anaesthetic drops . Shortly after following a short talk with the surgeon I was escorted into the theatre , together with all my belongings . The surgeon and 3 nurses were in attendance . Immediately after the procedure I was escorted to the discharge room where there were 2 nurses who outlined all of what to do and expect in the coming days together with back up documentation and necessary medication. All of this was carried out in a most agreeable and friendly manner . I was escorted back to the reception are by 10:20 am where once again refreshment and a call to my chosen transport was offered . To cap it all the meet and greet person noticed the arrival of my transport and escorted me out to the parking area . I had been told by my optician when making the referral for the procedure that the Spa Medic Doncaster was very good . I found that it exceeded my expectations . In the event of a referral for the same procedure for my other eye I would have no hesitation in choosing this clinic for the procedure .

Going in for YAG laser surgery . Fantastic service and very professional, friendly & courteous staff . From the start to the finish . If you are reading this review then relax the laser surgery will be over before you even realise . Great service and use with confidence .

I have had two cataract operations at Spamedica Doncaster in the past few months, and found the clinic to be excellent. The staff are professional, but friendly and helpful. The clinic is like a well oiled machine, turning out successful cataract operations by the dozen. I can highly recommend the clinic and would like to thank the staff for their professional but kind interaction with the patients.

I was referred to SpaMedica by my optician for a cataract operation, and advised that there would likely be a shorter waiting time than for the DRI. Sure enough, I was given an appointment two months later, in July, which i think was a very reasonable waiting time. Unfortunately, however, I had to postpone that, having contracted Covid, but another appointment was arranged for three weeks later. I turned up for the pre-op appointment on that day, and was very impressed with the SpaMedica facilities, and the people there were very friendly, and went through the necessary medical history, eye tests and explanation of the procedure. My operation was arranged for two weeks later, and the process again went well, with a calming and stress free environment, again reinforced by the friendly and efficient staff. I found the whole experience a positive one, and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending SpaMedica to anyone needing to have this operation.
